The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sharkey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Howlett sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sharkey somewhat. Howlett could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Howlett takes the fight into the clinch. Sharkey is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Howlett pulls him back up using the underhooks. Sharkey jumps guard but Howlett turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. James Howlett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bryce Sharkey. Sharkey is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Howlett to keep the fight standing. Howlett decides to pull guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Sharkey looking to sit in guard and control but Howlett gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Howlett slips nicely into half guard. Howlett passes to side control.

Sharkey is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Howlett works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Howlett works his way into full mount! Howlett sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dedic dives in and grabs Bottle's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bottle pushes down on Dedic's head and hops out. Dedic keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Dedic bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Bottle blocks a head kick by Dedic.
Bottle shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dedic's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Dedic looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bottle is one step ahead there. Cold shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dyrholm but Dyrholm pushes him off and we're back to square one. Cold really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dyrholm moves into the clinch. Cold is trying to stall.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
