The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tanner Jr gets caught flat footed, as Voss shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Voss drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Voss jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Tanner Jr is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Tanner Jr can't keep his opponent in guard - Voss advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Tanner Jr is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Voss wants to free his trapped foot but Tanner Jr is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Voss goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Tanner Jr turns into him and now he's in Voss's guard.

Scott Voss has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Voss changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tanner Jr looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee asks Voss politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Voss prefers to stall for the moment though.

Anderson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Anderson tries to stall but Okiro uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Anderson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Okiro blocks it with crossed arms.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
