The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soldier misses with a jab, cross combination.
Conahan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Soldier rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Conahan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Conahan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Soldier sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Conahan somewhat.
Soldier scores with a leg kick.

Soldier closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Soldier manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Soldier could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Soldier lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Soldier's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Soldier tries to clinch but Conahan moves out of range.

Soldier lands a big head kick that sends Conahan tumbling to the mat! Soldier takes a step backwards and waves Conahan back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Conahan is rocked!

It looks like Patrick Conahan has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Soldier fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Conahan square on the jaw! Damn, Conahan is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

Volta closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Thompson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Schnitz is defended easily by Shubaka.
Schnitz moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Shubaka stalks Schnitz and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Schnitz's face. Schnitz staggers backwards, shaken.
Schnitz has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Shubaka tries to clinch up but Schnitz circles away and keeps his distance.
Schnitz moves forwards but Shubaka connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Schnitz avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shubaka cracks Schnitz with an open hand slap.
Shubaka stuffs the takedown.
Schnitz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Shubaka finds it's way round the side to connect with Schnitz's head.

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iron Jake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Claudio Do Prado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Do Prado's choice of entrance music: Fight to Survive by Stan Bush. Jake has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Jake tries to bum rush Do Prado with a series of wild strikes but Do Prado uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jake is breathing heavily.
Do Prado connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Do Prado dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jake. That did some damage!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Do Prado wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Do Prado throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The fighters circling - Do Prado throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Do Prado misses with a hook.
Do Prado throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jake walks straight into a right hand from Do Prado - that's dropped him! Do Prado jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Jake from any more punishment! Jake complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
