Thompson's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Thompson duly obliges.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Nikiel thuds a left hand into Thompson's body.
Thompson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nikiel throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Nikiel sends Thompson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Nikiel is motioning to the referee to let Thompson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Benny Thompson has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nikiel dances in with a quick combination. Thompson is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Nikiel snaps Thompson's head back. Thompson stumbles backwards against the cage. Nikiel steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Thompson's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Thompson just didn't come prepared.
