The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bud throws a head kick but Sakurai moves out of range.
Bud gets a takedown into half guard. Sakurai is looking for a sweep. Bud is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bud is trying to control the action in half guard but Sakurai is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Bud prevents Sakurai from standing back up.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Sakurai gets full guard. We've been hearing that Bud has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Sakurai wants to get back to his feet but Bud is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Bud is looking to work some ground and pound but Sakurai has wrist control. Sakurai wants to sweep but no luck. Sakurai is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bud tries to get to full guard but Sakurai has control of the leg. Sakurai is looking for a kimura here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Sakurai tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bud defends well and Sakurai ends up having to push Bud into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch. Bud gets control of Sakurai's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bud will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Sakurai throws a big right hand that misses. Bud looking for subs off his back but Sakurai has passed one foot through into half guard.

Sakurai is trying to control the position but Bud postures up. Bud got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sakurai has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bud has managed to get both his arms back between Sakurai's legs - danger averted.

Bud stands and throws Sakurai's legs to the side, diving into side control. Sakurai can't do much from the bottom here. Bud looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Bud is working Sakurai over with some ground and pound from side control. Bud tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Sakurai is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Bud stands up and beckons Sakurai to his feet. Sakurai dives in and scores a takedown into Bud's guard. Sakurai trying to control but Bud is working from the bottom. Bud has his foot on Sakurai's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sakurai works his way back into a safe position though. Bud is breathing heavily. Bud keeping moving, preventing Sakurai from controlling successfully. Sakurai thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Siblas wants to control for a moment but Heads uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Siblas sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Siblas connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nice body kick from Kang. Kang fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Kang closes the distance and clinches. Kang's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kang getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
It looks like Brock Lesnar has been cut. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kang has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kang presses Lesnar against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Lesnar is breathing heavily. Kang manages to break the clinch.
Kang rushes Lesnar and presses him up against the ropes. Lesnar takes an elbow to the temple. A short right from Kang on the inside.
Brock Lesnar's cut is getting worse. Kang drops Lesnar with a big knee straight up the middle! Lesnar is covering up against the ropes but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Lesnar is rocked! Lesnar get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Lesnar stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the ropes but Kang runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
