Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Drysdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Talbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Robert Drysdale has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Robert Drysdale seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sam Talbert! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A lazy left from Talbert finds it's target. Talbert throws the left hand but Drysdale avoids the punch easily. Talbert waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Drysdale. Talbert looks to land a right hand but Drysdale moved out of range. Talbert cracks Drysdale with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Talbert smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Talbert misses with a few strikes there.

and Drysdale counters with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Talbert's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Talbert duly obliges. Drysdale avoids the body shot from Talbert.
Talbert missing with a left hand there. Drysdale was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Drysdale takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Sam Talbert is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Talbert waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Drysdale. Talbert jabbing away but nothing is landing. Talbert misses with a right hand and Drysdale decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Talbert's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Talbert has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Talbert looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Drysdale wants to control from the top but Talbert keeps moving. Drysdale seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Robert Drysdale. Drysdale displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Talbert throws out the jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Talbert throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Talbert sizes up Drysdale with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Drysdale bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A big left from Talbert misses. Talbert lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Sam Talbert seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Talbert scores with a crisp jab that stopped Drysdale in his tracks. Drysdale looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Drysdale looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Talbert is fending him off so far but Drysdale persists. Nope, Talbert circles away and we're back to standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Drysdale tries for a takedown but Talbert sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Drysdale uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Talbert. Drysdale keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Talbert. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Talbert throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The fighters circling - Drysdale throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A big right from Talbert misses. Talbert might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Drysdale looks to land a right hand but Talbert moved out of range. A left and a right from Talbert both land. Nice combination. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drysdale tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Talbert defends well and Drysdale ends up having to push Talbert into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Drysdale can't get the takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round. Talbert misses with an uppercut. Drysdale saw that one coming. Talbert throws a jab but it's blocked by Drysdale. Good exchange - Talbert coming out on top. Talbert throws a series of punches but Drysdale moves out of range. No joy there for Talbert, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Drysdale counters with a nice body kick. Talbert throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Drysdale with a poor takedown enabling Talbert to counter with a crisp jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Talbert pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Drysdale takes a body punch but keeps moving. Talbert misses with a left hand so Drysdale counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. This has been an exciting period of action! Drysdale sitting in guard, not really doing much. Drysdale wants to pass the guard but Talbert is keeping the position. Talbert working for a triangle but Drysdale defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Drysdale trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Talbert has control of Drysdale's left arm, preventing Drysdale from doing any damage. Drysdale wants to control from the top but Talbert keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Robert Drysdale will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Drysdale lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Talbert circles away quickly and effectively.

Talbert throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A telegraphed right hand from Talbert misses the target. Drysdale shoots in and drives through. Talbert sprawls well. Drysdale shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Talbert pinned against the cage. Talbert gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. and Drysdale counters with a nice leg kick. Drysdale uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Talbert. Talbert changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Talbert connects with a right hand. Drysdale shakes it off. Drysdale misses with an uppercut. Talbert saw that one coming.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Talbert throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Drysdale to counter with a crisp jab. Talbert misses with a hook. Drysdale ducked under it nicely. Drysdale moves out of range as Talbert strikes. Talbert lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Drysdale backs up against the cage.
Talbert's corner calls for a 1-2. Talbert obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. This has been an exciting period of action! Talbert misses with a straight left. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Drysdale needs to keep his hands up - Talbert had a free shot at his head there.
And that's the end of the fight! Sam Talbert comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Talbert has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamamoto throws a body kick that misses. Nice uppercut there from Yamamoto. A solid body kick from Yamamoto. Quinn cracks Yamamoto with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Yamamoto buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Quinn throws a series of punches but Yamamoto moves out of range. Quinn throws a series of punches but Yamamoto avoids them all with ease. Yamamoto lands a front kick. Quinn checks the leg kick. Quinn fails to land with a series of punches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Yamamoto connects with a leg kick. Quinn looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Quinn lands a nice shot to the body.
Quinn throws a right hand that Yamamoto ducks under and follows up with a left that Yamamoto also avoids with ease. Yamamoto turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Yamamoto goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
It looks like Dan Quinn has been cut. Quinn checks a leg kick nicely. Yamamoto shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Quinn napping and manages to drive through into side control! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Yamamoto is looking to take a break and control but Quinn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamamoto advances to full mount. Yamamoto avoids the attempt from Quinn to control. Quinn is looking to improve his position but Yamamoto isn't that keen on the idea. Yamamoto fails to advance to Quinn's back. Quinn is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Quinn is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Yamamoto is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Quinn is in real trouble.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yamamoto is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Quinn is defending well though. Yamamoto let's go of the attempt for now. Yamamoto is trying to stick to Quinn's back but Quinn is turning into Yamamoto. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Yamamoto's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Quinn. Yamamoto has control of Quinn's left arm, preventing Quinn from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Quinn wants to stand but Yamamoto is controlling his posture from full guard. Quinn is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Yamamoto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Quinn defends well. Yamamoto definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Yamamoto trying to keep a closed guard but Quinn is proving a slippery customer.
Yamamoto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Quinn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Yamamoto is trying to control the position but Quinn postures up. Yamamoto looking for a sweep. Not yet Yamamoto, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamamoto looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Quinn would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Quinn gets to his feet - Yamamoto follows without any prompting. Quinn takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Yamamoto wants to slow Quinn down by chopping away at his legs. Yamamoto throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Quinn counters with a lovely shot to the body. Quinn looks to score with a jab to the body but Yamamoto is just out of range. Yamamoto feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Quinn's calf. Quinn lets loose with a powerful body kick. Yamamoto will feel that in the morning. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A kick lands to the mid section there for Yamamoto. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Yamamoto.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Yamamoto throws a jab but it's blocked by Quinn. Yamamoto tries to land a front kick but Quinn steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Quinn throws a right and a left that Yamamoto avoids nicely. Yamamoto will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Yamamoto keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Quinn. Quinn ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Yamamoto throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Yamamoto takes a body punch but keeps moving. Quinn throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Yuki Yamamoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yamamoto misses with an uppercut
and Quinn counters with a low kick, right behind Yamamoto 's knee. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Yamamoto checks a leg kick. Yamamoto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A low kick from Yamamoto lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Quinn has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Quinn and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Quinn throws a chopping leg kick but Yamamoto manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Quinn feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Yamamotos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Quinn tries to land a leg kick but Yamamoto saw it coming and moves away.
Quinn moves out of range of the body kick. Yamamoto throws a head kick that misses and Quinn makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Quinn lands a left and a right that send Yamamoto crashing to the mat, dazed. Quinn thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Quinn checks a leg kick. Quinn stuns Yamamoto with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Yamamoto ducks right into an uppercut from Quinn.
Yamamoto is rocked! Quinn cracks Yamamoto with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Yamamoto tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Quinn pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Yamamoto is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Jab, jab by Shebanov - just one landing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wolf goes for a double leg but Carvalho avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Carvalho continues to drive forward. Carvalho is fighting off a takedown attempt but Wolf is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Carvalho to the mat. Carvalho regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Our spies down at at Pahuyuth Muay Thai 12 elite coaches inform us that Carvalho has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? A short uppercut from Diego. De La Torre throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Diego blocks it with crossed arms. Diego prevents De La Torre from breaking the clinch.
