The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Penn lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Penn looks to land a combination but Dominick avoids it well.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Dominick crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Penn - the referee stops the clock and Dominick gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Penn. Dominick manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Penn gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Penn throws a right hand that Dominick ducks under and follows up with a left that Dominick also avoids with ease.
Good leg kick by Penn there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Dominick tries to bum rush Penn with a series of wild strikes but Penn uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Penn has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Penn there as he acknowledges the shot.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dominick dips a shoulder and cracks Penn with a mighty uppercut! Penn falls back against the cage and Dominick unloads with a barrage of strikes! Penn is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Dominick screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

A relieved looking Mathieu Dominick thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between RV Malapitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Machida's choice of entrance music: Bleed It Out. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ryoto Machida was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Hadjiev takes the fight into the clinch.
Melcher has Hadjiev pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hadjiev manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Hadjiev is trying to trip Melcher. He has hold of a leg but Melcher is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hadjiev persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Melcher has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hadjiev can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
