The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis punishes Newmann's body with a nice straight punch.
Newmann shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pettis defends it nicely.
Newmann takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Pettis leaves Newmann with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pettis throws a lazy right hand but Newmann sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pettis throws a shot from downtown. Newmann moves away and avoids it.
We've been informed that Pettis has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Newmann moves forwards but Pettis connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Newmann has been working on his balance at S-1 Complete Fighter Fitness, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Pettis.

Pettis might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Newmann. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Newmann takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Pettis steps in with a hook that catches Newmann right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Pettis follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Newmann looks absolutely devastated.

After winning the bout, Jeremy Pettis thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

A head kick misses from Fadimudo.

Kent closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kent scores with a couple of short elbows.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fadimudo tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Kent presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kent is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Kent loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Fadimudo scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Kent land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Kent stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clark Kent!
An out of breath Clark Kent thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.

Noise looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Noise shoots in looking for a takedown but Huxi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Noise's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Noise goes for a double leg but Huxi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Huxi continues to drive forward.
Huxi is trying to break free.

Noise with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Huxi lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Noise might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Noise misses with a few strikes there.

Blood Noise's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Noise could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
