The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piil tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Snoppy defends well and Piil ends up having to push Snoppy into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Piil turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Piil manages to end up in side control.
Piil has hold of Snoppy's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Snoppy tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Piil cranks the arm and Snoppy screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Snoppy, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Gomez closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tanghe's guard.
Gomez is looking to work some ground and pound but Tanghe has wrist control.

Tanghe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gomez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tanghe is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Gomez has hold of Tanghe's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tanghe manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
