The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Townsley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Townsley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Risley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Townsley somewhat. Townsley is breathing heavily. Risley throws a sloppy body shot
and Townsley counters with a three punch combo that has Risley backing up. Risley nods at Townsley to acknowledge the strikes. Townsley has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Average Joe's in the buildup to the fight. Risley misses with a jab, cross combination.
Risley closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Townsley to the mat! Townsley manages to get full guard. Risley seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Risley in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Risley stands and steps away. Townsley gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Risley drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Risley lands a decent elbow from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Risley is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Risley moves into full mount! Risley with the ground and pound from mount. Risley controlling from the full mount. Townsley is looking to improve his position but Risley isn't that keen on the idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Risley controlling the pace for now. Townsley is squirming around, avoiding Risley's attempts to control the action. Townsley gets back to half guard. Risley is working for a kimura but Townsley is defending it quite comfortably.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Risley is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Townsley has managed to free his arm - good work. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Risley connects with a nice short shot to Townsley's temple. Risley has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Average Joe's. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Risley takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Risley scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Townsley is refusing to be controlled, as Risley sits in half guard. Risley sitting and controlling from the half guard. Ground and pound from Risley. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Risley takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Risley slows the pace down in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Townsley has his takedown stuffed and Risley counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Risley is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Risley is looking to break free of the clinch but Townsley has double underhooks. Townsley can't break the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Risley tries to pull guard but Townsley holds him up against the cage and eventually Risley drops back down to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Risley tries to circle away but Townsley has him pinned against the cage. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Townsley creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Townsley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Risley misses with a jab to the body
and Townsley counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Townsley fails with the takedown and Risley counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Risley. Risley is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Risley postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Risley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Hunter Risley wasn't active enough on the ground. Risley moves in looking to clinch but Townsley pushes him off. Risley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Townsley swats him away and circles back towards the center. Risley drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Townsley is letting Risley control him for a moment.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Risley closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Townsley's guard. Townsley tries to stand but Risley is controlling his head. Both fighters take a look at the clock.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Townsley working away. Risley wants to get back to his feet but Townsley drags him back down. Risley is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Townsley off and has taken his back! Risley has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Townsley's body.

Townsley is trying to remain composed but Risley is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Risley not allowing Townsley to control his hands. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Risley scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
And that's the end of the fight! Hunter Risley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Risley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perez feints and then cracks Hicks's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hicks down. Hicks misses with a double jab
and Perez counters with a thumping low kick. Perez uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hicks has time to react. Hicks throws a predictable looking body shot
and Perez counters with a slapping leg kick. Hicks stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Perez. Joshua Perez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Perez lands a big head kick that sends Hicks to the canvas! Perez follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van De Velde fails in his attempt to clinch. Van De Velde slips under a jab from Martinez. Van De Velde tries to clinch but Martinez is having none of it. We've been hearing reports that Martinez has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Van De Velde tries to clinch and Martinez counters with a single leg into guard. Van De Velde didn't expect that. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Martinez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Martinez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Martinez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Martinez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Martinez drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Martinez as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Van De Velde screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Martinez! Nice submission victory there!

After the fight, Johnny Martinez was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Sasi throws a strike but Douche rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Douche wants to control from the top but Sasi keeps moving. Sasi is looking to stand up but Douche isn't so interested in that idea. Douche wants to stand but Sasi is controlling his posture from full guard. Sasi manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Douche has his takedown stuffed and Sasi decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Douche's guard. Sasi lands a couple of elbows. Douche tries to land a sweep but no joy. Douche scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Douche dives in and grabs Sasi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sasi pushes down on Douche's head and hops out. Douche tries to clinch up. Douche bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Douche throws a leg kick which misses Sasi's front leg but catches the back leg as Sasi tries to avoid it. Douche wants to clinch. A left and a right from Douche both land. Nice combination.

Douche is trying to maintain the position but Sasi is very close to passing his half guard. Douche looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Nice strikes from Sasi there. Sasi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Douche's head. Sasi takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Sasi is thwarting Douche's attempts to control the position. Sasi prevents Douche from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sasi not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sirpico tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brady swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sirpico throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Sirpico tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brady paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sirpico will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sirpico tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brady sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sirpico somewhat. Sirpico closes the distance and clinches up with Brady, looking for a takedown. Sirpico pushes Brady against the cage but Brady circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Marshal Brady has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Sirpico. Sirpico fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brady avoids it really well and circles away. Nice cross by Brady. Brady avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sirpico tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brady swats him away and circles back towards the center. Brady tries to land a leg kick but Sirpico saw it coming and moves away.
Brady could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Brady throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sirpico tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Brady is in Sirpico's guard. Brady has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Brady is stalling in the full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sirpico has an active guard here but Brady has managed to pass into half guard.

Sirpico's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Brady connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sirpico scrambles back to his feet. Sirpico closes the distance but Brady moves to the side and Brady counters with a good low kick that Sirpico was not able to check.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sirpico will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lodbrok misses with a takedown and Goatboy counters with a straight right hand. Lodbrok looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Lodbrok takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Lodbrok shoots for a takedown but Goatboy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Lodbrok has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ragnar Lodbrok. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice defenses there by Goatboy. Goatboy stuffs the takedown attempt from Lodbrok. Lodbrok gets slowly back to his feet. Lodbrok shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Lodbrok closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Lodbrok is looking for a kimura but Goatboy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lodbrok to get the leverage. Lodbrok missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Goatboy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lodbrok. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lodbrok working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Lodbrok looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Goatboy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Lodbrok is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Goatboy is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Pony throws the kick towards the body but Thicke avoids it. Thicke shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pony defends it nicely. Pony throws a nice inside leg kick. Pony bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Thicke shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pony pinned against the cage. Pony gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That kick from Pony tenderised Thicke's leg. Thicke is trying to keep his angry face on. Pony pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Thicke back to the cage. Pony follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Thicke uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pony. Thicke lands a head shot. Thicke fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's four minutes gone in the round. A punch combination from Pony misses. Thicke chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pony can pounce on him.
Pony lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Thicke with a lazy takedown attempt and Pony counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. A left lands for Pony. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pony clinches. Pony works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Pony. Pony lands a hook that snaps the head of Thicke backwards. Pony tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pony tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Thicke avoids it. Thicke avoids the elbow strike from Pony, against the cage.
Thicke changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pony fights it off and pushes away nicely.

David Pony clearly takes that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Pony fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Thicke. Pony throws a hook but Thicke blocks it. Thicke fails with a takedown attempt. Pony fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Thicke has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Nice sprawl there from Pony as Thicke shoots in. Thicke closes the distance and clinches up with Pony, looking for a takedown. Thicke pushes Pony against the cage but Pony circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. David Pony has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brad Thicke. Pony with a nice cross. Pony misses with the combination.
Thicke is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted. Thicke scores with a jab to the jaw. Pony tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Thicke paws at him with a jab and circles away. Pony defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Thicke.

Thicke has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Pony. Pony moves out of range as Thicke strikes. Thicke lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pony circles away quickly and effectively. Thicke swings for the body but Pony moves out of range.

and Thicke counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Thicke uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pony. Thicke scores with a three punch combo!
Thicke ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pony moves away. Thicke throws a hook to the side of Pony's head but Pony sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Pony has closed the distance and engaged Thicke in a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pony tries to land a knee to the head but Thicke blocks with his arms.
Thicke has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Pony after a bit of a struggle. A body shot lands from Pony.

Pony scores with a jab. Thicke acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Pony fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Thicke on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Thicke lands a slapping body shot.
Pony connects with a body shot that sends Thicke's belly button to the back. A combination from Thicke does no damage. Pony will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Thicke darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Thicke throwing shots but Pony is blocking nicely. This has been an exciting period of action! Thicke is trying to control the action in half guard but Pony is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Pony is trying is best to control the position here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Thicke works his way into side control. The strikes coming from Thicke are missing the target in this wave of attacks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close fourth round but I would say that David Pony will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Thicke lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pony circles away quickly and effectively. Thicke lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Thicke moves away from the strike by Pony. Pony moves into range and clinches up with Thicke. Pony prevents the takedown attempt.
Thicke drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pony pulls his leg out and moves away.
Thicke moves out of range of the strikes. A momentary lapse in concentration from Pony enables Thicke to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Pony manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Pony trying to control the position.
Pony wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Thicke in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Thicke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pony swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pony keeping moving, preventing Thicke from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pony is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pony wants to sweep but no luck. Thicke trying to control the position from guard on top but Pony is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Thicke shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Pony napping and manages to drive through into side control! Thicke is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pony knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The strikes coming from Thicke are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Pony struggling a bit here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thicke in side control, throwing shots but Pony defends. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Thicke throws a strike aimed at the side of Pony's head but Pony avoids it well. Pony is trying to buck Thicke off. Thicke misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
You can see the frustration on Pony's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Thicke trying to control the position but Pony is working away. Thicke in side control, throwing shots but Pony defends. Sloppy strikes there by Thicke.

Pony is letting Thicke control him for a moment. Brad Thicke has got the better of the ground game so far. Thicke is looking to take a break and control but Pony is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Thicke throws a strike aimed at the side of Pony's head but Pony avoids it well. Thicke throwing strikes but missing, from side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The ground and pound from Thicke seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Pony parries the strikes from Thicke easily there. Thicke is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Pony to escape.
