Undercard bout

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karevul Ikarus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ulf Larsonn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ikarus might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Flight of Icarus by Iron Maiden. Ulf Larsonn is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ulf Larsonn!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Larsonn closes the distance and clinches.
Larsonn lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Ikarus jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Larsonn walks away with a smile on his face. Ikarus gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ulf Larsonn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Larsonn pushes Ikarus up against the cage in a clinch.
Larsonn misses with a hook to the ribs.
Larsonn's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

I was talking to Ikarus's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Larsonn rolls with it to try and escape but Ikarus cranks on the arm and Larsonn is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Dredd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Llorente swivels though and keeps the full guard.
