The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michalski dives in for a single leg takedown but Gracie sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.

Gracie manages to pull guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Michalski trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom.

Gracie utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Michalski content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Gracie has locked up a guillotine! Gracie's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Michalski is holding on here and Gracie must be using up a lot of energy. Michalski has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Gracie gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Jones cracks Malapitan with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Malapitan tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Jones pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Malapitan is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Cortez lands a jab to the nose.
Cortez catches Dunn with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Barnes lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
