2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eduardo Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Milan Zitska! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Zitska does no damage. Sanchez moves out of range of the strikes. A momentary lapse in concentration from Zitska enables Sanchez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Zitska manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Sanchez slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Zitska not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sanchez looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Sanchez's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Very smooth. Zitska tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sanchez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Zitska is trying to escape the position but Sanchez is controlling the position. Zitska wants to control but Sanchez postures up. Sanchez is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Zitska looks calm but he's in trouble here. Sanchez gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Zitska is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Sanchez lets go of the hold and Zitska can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Hammer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Moreira walks into a stiff left hand from Hammer. Hammer moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Moreira takes one on the button. Hammer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Moreira manages to avoid it. Moreira is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Moreira tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hammer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hammer throws a series of strikes that have Moreira backpedaling.

Those have got to be taking their toll on Hammer's gas tank. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hammer is trying to push Moreira away but Moreira has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Moreira lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Hammer. A short right from Moreira. Moreira misses with a hook from the clinch. Moreira tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hammer's elbow. Moreira lands a hook to the side of the head. A nice left hand lands by Moreira.
