The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laston lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Dravinski backs up against the cage.
Dravinski looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Dravinski tries to score a power double leg takedown but Laston sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dravinski somewhat.

Laston is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dravinski's half guard.
Laston passes to full mount!
Laston pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Laston has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dravinski's face.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Coke enables Birmiski to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Coke manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kermode fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Avalon, pushing him back against the cage.

I was talking to Kermode's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
