The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Najib Osman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Benming did well to prevent Najib Osman getting side control. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Benming moves into full guard.
Najib Osman won't allow Benming to sweep him here. Najib Osman trying to control the position from guard on top but Benming is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Benming is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Najib Osman is aware though and is defending well. Najib Osman throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Benming works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Benming manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Najib Osman manages to get himself to full guard.

Well Benming has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Swanson wants to clinch. A big left from Swanson misses. Gomez throws a head kick that misses. Gomez moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Swanson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Swanson is looking to clinch. Some wild striking there from Gomez.

Gomez connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Gomez cracks Swanson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Gomez keeps the fight on the outside. Gomez throws a series of strikes that have Swanson backpedaling.
Swanson is rocked! Gomez throws an overhand right that drops Swanson like a sack of potatoes! Gomez dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Aurelio jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Waligora walks away with a smile on his face. Aurelio gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Aurelio takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Waligora has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Aurelio with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Waligora to score with a decent uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Aurelio has his takedown stuffed and Waligora counters into the clinch. Waligora scores with a crisp jab that stopped Aurelio in his tracks. A decent looking body kick lands there for Waligora. Waligora lets loose with a powerful body kick. Aurelio will feel that in the morning. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Waligora clinches with his opponent.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Giantsbane holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Rouge tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
