Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gene Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alberich Svensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alberich Svensson! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Svensson stuffs the takedown attempt from Anderson. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet. Svensson scores with a head kick. Anderson tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Gene Anderson has been cut. Anderson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A short right hand to the side of the head by Svensson. Svensson prevents Anderson from breaking the clinch. Svensson swings away with an uppercut that misses.

That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Augustus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Duritz swivels though and keeps the full guard. Duritz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Augustus manages to get himself to full guard.
Duritz wants to control from the top but Augustus keeps moving. Augustus bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Duritz's guard. Tanner throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Nice defenses there by Robertson. Robertson is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Robertson with a hook. Robertson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tanner has time to react.

Jackson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sheldon is trying to keep an underhook but Jackson manages to get the takedown into half guard. Jackson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sheldon sees it coming and defends easily. Jackson wants to take a breather but Sheldon is having none of it.

Sheldon keeps control of the position for the meantime. Jackson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jackson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jackson throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Sheldon to regain full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close fourth round but I would say that Dontae Sheldon will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Jackson throws a head kick that misses. Sheldon is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Jackson tries a head kick but it misses.
Jackson blocks a low kick nicely. Jackson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Sheldon is able to avoid easily. Jackson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sheldon. Sheldon clobbers Jackson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sheldon's waist but Sheldon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side. Jackson loads up on a big right hand but Sheldon slips the punch. Sheldon cracks Jackson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Jackson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Sheldon pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Jackson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 5, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dontae Sheldon! Dontae Sheldon retains his featherweight title! During a confident post fight interview, Dontae Sheldon thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
