0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Oliveira! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Dean Styles and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oliveira looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Oliveira gets in close and instigates a clinch. Oliveira works on Vladislav's body with a couple of short punches. Vladislav tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Oliveira smiles and moves away.
Oliveira goes for a double leg but Vladislav avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Vladislav continues to drive forward. A short uppercut from Oliveira. Vladislav is trying to drag Oliveira to the mat but Oliveira just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Vladislav wants to break the clinch but can't.

Oliveira displaying some good clinch control by pressing Vladislav up against the cage. Vladislav tries to break free but Oliveira pushes him back against the cage.

That could spell trouble for Max! Sanderson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Max can do anything to dispel that myth. Sanderson raining down shots from the mount! Max is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Olson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Thompson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Olson misses with the combination.
Thompson fails with a takedown attempt. Olson moves in looking to clinch but Thompson pushes him off. Olson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Olson wants it to stay on the feet. Olson connects with a body shot that sends Thompson's belly button to the back. We've been hearing reports that Thompson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. A decent looking cross lands there for Olson. Olson looks to land a combination but Thompson avoids it well. Sloppy strikes from Olson. Those never looked like landing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Horrible takedown by Olson or perhaps it was just good defense by Thompson which made him look bad. Thompson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Olson's guard.

Traut leaves Desmond with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Desmond shoots for a takedown but Traut saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Irvin Traut has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Micheal Desmond . Kane dropped down on all fours and is barking in Bruce's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
