The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fadden pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gonzalez back to the ropes. Fadden follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Fadden misses with a two punch combination.
Gonzalez moves in looking to clinch but Fadden pushes him off.
Gonzalez moves to clinch but Fadden breaks away
and Fadden counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've been informed that Gonzalez has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Gonzalez avoids the body shot from Fadden.

Gonzalez tries to clinch but Fadden moves out of range.

Gonzalez gets caught napping as Fadden dives in and scores a takedown. Gonzalez manages to retain guard.

Fadden is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gonzalez is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gonzalez has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gonzalez forces his way into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fadden is refusing to be controlled, as Gonzalez sits in half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Fadden is positioning himself well to prevent Gonzalez advancing to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Fadden counters with a nice uppercut.
Gonzalez tries to clinch up but Fadden circles away and keeps his distance.
Gonzalez throws a sloppy head kick and Fadden moves out of range easily.
Fadden throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gonzalez counters with a series of strikes. Fadden will be more careful next time no doubt.

Fadden lands with an overhand left.
A head kick from Gonzalez lands but Fadden takes it in his stride.
Fadden will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gonzalez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fadden is fending him off so far but Gonzalez persists. Nope, Fadden circles away and we're back to standing.
Gonzalez tries to clinch but Fadden is having none of it.
Fadden keeps the fight on the outside.
Gonzalez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Fadden paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Oooooh!!! Fadden has knocked Gonzalez down with a huge combo! Fadden steps away and waves a wobbly Gonzalez back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Miguel Gonzalez has been cut.
Gonzalez is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fadden throws a series of punches but Gonzalez moves out of range.
Gonzalez is still on wobbly legs! Can Fadden finish him?
Gonzalez get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Gonzalez stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the ropes but Fadden runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

John Fadden thanked the fans post fight for their support.
In defeat, Miguel Gonzalez stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'll be back stronger'.

Sawamura has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sawamura tries to pull guard but Gullit forces him back to his feet, against the ropes.
Sawamura jumps guard but Gullit turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing.
Sawamura tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Ruud Gullit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryuhei Sawamura.
Gullit tries to break the clinch but Sawamura is controlling the position.
Sawamura drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Gullit gets the underhooks and prevents it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sawamura throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Gullit blocks it with crossed arms.

Sawamura jumps guard but Gullit turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing.
Sawamura tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Sawamura jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gullit walks away with a smile on his face. Sawamura gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Gullit misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ruud Gullit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oooooh!!! Gullit has knocked Sawamura down with a huge combo! Gullit steps away and waves a wobbly Sawamura back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sawamura rushes Gullit and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Sawamura is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Gullit is defending well.
Gullit is looking to control Sawamura's arms but Sawamura gets an underhook and turns him. Now Gullit has his back to the ropes.

Sawamura tries to pull guard but Gullit won't allow it.

Sawamura pulls guard effortlessly.
Gullit stops Sawamura from standing up.
Gullit stands and throws Sawamura's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Gullit controls the position from side control.
Sawamura is looking to get back to his feet here but Gullit is keeping cool and he's managed to take Sawamura's back.

Sawamura is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Gullit slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Sawamura has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ruud Gullit dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Gullit swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sawamura is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Gullit moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ruud Gullit!
A relieved looking Ruud Gullit thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Enzo Delpizio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arsene Dumars (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arsene Dumars struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. It looks like Arsene Dumars has been cut.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Delpizio obliges.

Delpizio is working the Thai clinch up against the ropes. He yanks Dumars's head to one side and delivers a picture perfect knee, right on the button! Boom! Down goes Dumars! He's out! He's out! The fight is over, just like that!
