Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jarni Kutsoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rolland Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kutsoo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Enter Sandman. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jarni Kutsoo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rolland Pierre! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kutsoo is defended easily by Pierre. Pierre misses with a wild combination.
Kutsoo with a poor takedown and Pierre counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jarni Kutsoo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pierre swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kutsoo. A big left from Pierre misses. Sloppy strikes from Kutsoo. Those never looked like landing. Pierre looks to score with a jab to the body but Kutsoo is just out of range. Kutsoo has been working on his balance at Grappling Pro Helsinki (14 coaches/25 fighters cap, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Pierre. Pierre misses with a double jab.
Pierre throws an overhand right that lands on Kutsoo's shoulder, as Kutsoo tries to avoid the shot. Pierre throws a hook but Kutsoo avoids it easily. Kutsoo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pierre's waist but Pierre gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kutsoo off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jarni Kutsoo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kutsoo shoots and misses and Pierre counters with a stiff right hand. Kutsoo takes a shot right to the bread basket. Kutsoo moves out of range of the strikes. Kutsoo darts in looking for a takedown but Pierre gets double underhooks and turns Kutsoo into the cage. A frustrated look appears on Pierre's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Pierre pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kutsoo tumbling to the mat - Pierre dives into Kutsoo's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Pierre trying to control the position from guard on top but Kutsoo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kutsoo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Pierre working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pierre swings around for an armbar but Kutsoo sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Pierre's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pierre working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kutsoo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kutsoo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kutsoo passes into half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kutsoo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Kutsoo tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Kutsoo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kutsoo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pierre. Pierre tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kutsoo was well out of range. Poor timing from Pierre. Excellent takedown into side control there by Kutsoo. Pierre tries to improve position but can't. Pierre keeps trying to improve his position. Pierre is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kutsoo has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kutsoo lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Kutsoo grinds an elbow into Pierre's temple. Pierre is looking to reverse the position. Kutsoo connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Pierre some visible discomfort.
Pierre is not content to let Kutsoo control the position. Pierre gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Kutsoo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pierre's head. Kutsoo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Ground and pound from Kutsoo. Pierre regains full guard. Nicely done. Kutsoo has gone for a leg lock! Pierre slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kutsoo's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Kutsoo has his foot on Pierre's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pierre works his way back into a safe position though. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pierre slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. You can see the frustration on Kutsoo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Kutsoo tries to buck Pierre off but Pierre is having none of it. Pierre trying to control the action but Kutsoo is working from the bottom. Pierre thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kutsoo prevents Pierre from improving position.

Kutsoo bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Kutsoo lands a couple of decent looking shots. Pierre has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kutsoo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pierre is trying to control the position but Kutsoo postures up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kutsoo distracts Pierre with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. This has been an exciting period of action! Pierre has Kutsoo pulled in close to control his posture. Kutsoo looking to sit in guard and control but Pierre gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jarni Kutsoo. I think Kutsoo has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kottari working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kottari is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Kottari takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Bot uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kottari. Bot throws a one two combo.

Kottari's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Bot connects with a solid leg kick. Kottari avoids the head kick by Bot.
Bot throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Kottari has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Bot. Bot closes the distance and lands a one-two.

and Bot counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bot throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Nice body kick from Bot. Bot uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kottari. Bot chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Bot scores with a hook to the body. Kottari takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bot feints and then cracks Kottari's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kottari down. Bot jabs at Kottari's body.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryszard Duch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jax Teller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Duch might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to John Cage's 4'33". Jax Teller told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jax Teller! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Teller stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Teller wants it to stay on the feet. Duch slips a straight right by Teller. Teller misses with a series of wild punches.
That kick from Teller tenderised Duch's leg. Duch is trying to keep his angry face on. Duch shoots in for a takedown but Teller shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Teller stuns Duch with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Duch looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryszard Duch. That's going to take a lot out of him. A punch lands to the side of Duch 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like Ryszard Duch has been cut. Duch really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. This has been an exciting period of action! A nice inside leg kick there by Teller. That's going to slow Duch down. Teller throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Duch is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duch takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Teller feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Duch's calf. A solid leg kick lands there for Teller.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Teller scores with a jab to the body. Teller getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Teller feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Duch sprawling to the canvas! Duch rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Teller finish him?!
Duch is rocked! Duch takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Oh Duch is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! BAM! Teller delivers a spinning backfist that drops Duch like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!

A very excited looking Jax Teller made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hess misses with a wild body shot. Silva attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Hess throws a body punch but Silva moves out of range. Hess throws a half hearted mid kick. Silva throws a low kick but Hess avoids it. Hess lands with a nice body kick. Hess lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hess. Silva tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Silva misses with a looping right. Hess cracks Silva with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hess stuns Silva with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Silva definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Silva is breathing heavily. Silva misses with a lunging right hand
and Hess counters with a leg kick. Silva bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Hess comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Silva falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Silva was out before he hit the floor!
