Gracie avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Domingo sprawls well. Domingo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.
Domingo manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gracie on his heels. He'll look to pass Gracie's guard now, I'm sure.
Domingo is looking to stand up but Gracie won't let him.
Gracie throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Domingo wants to get back to his feet but Gracie is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Domingo has hold of Gracie's hands but Gracie slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Gracie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gracie connects with a nice short shot to Domingo's temple.

Gracie working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Gracie scores with a big shot! Domingo's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Domingo! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

After winning the bout, Ricson Gracie thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
