Soto lands an elbow inside.

That has opened up Matt Fondelier's cut even more.
Clinched against the cage, Soto lands a big elbow that drops Fondelier! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Fondelier is complaining that he's OK but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ralph Soto!
Ralph Soto retains his heavyweight title!
As Ralph Soto got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: I want to thanks everyone. I come put show for my fans...god bless. Matt Fondelier very tough & strong......someone want the belt, I'm stay champion long time!!'.
