Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mickey Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Suu Kii! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Francis DeMontford and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith scores with a jab. Kii acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Smith tries to close the distance and clinch but Kii swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kii throws a combination that misses and Smith counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Smith. Smith pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kii is keeping the position for now. Smith thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Smith trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Smith looking to sit in guard and control but Kii gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kii trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kii looking to pass the guard. Kii lands a couple of digs.

Kii is aware though and is defending well. Smith will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kii must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kii connects with a couple of short punches. Smith throws his legs up looking for a submission but Kii uses it to pass to side control.

Smith is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Madz , so we'll see if he gets out of it. Smith trying to control but Kii postures up.

Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Smith is looking for a sweep. Kii has hold of Smith's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Smith tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kii cranks the arm and Smith screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Smith, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Pearce bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. St Pearce avoids the body shot from Spiteri.
St Pearce misses with a looping left. St Pearce throws a looping overhand right but Spiteri ducks down to avoid it. Spiteri tests St Pearce's chin there with a solid looking shot. Spiteri misses with a few strikes there.
St Pearce lands a nice shot that snaps Spiteri's head back.
St Pearce shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Spiteri as he jumps to the side. Spiteri has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD-Guts & Glory Gym in the buildup to the fight. Spiteri wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. St Pearce gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Spiteri. A slapping leg kick lands for Spiteri.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. St Pearce trying to control the position from guard on top but Spiteri is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! St Pearce is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. St Pearce looking to pass the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dave Spiteri will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
St Pearce tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Spiteri defends well and St Pearce ends up having to push Spiteri into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Spiteri breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Morton looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Light lands a left and a right that send Morton crashing to the mat, dazed. Light thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Blake Morton has been cut. We've been told by Light's head coaches at Hate Made Me Asylum that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Light connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Morton tumbling to the canvas! Light pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Morton was done - good stoppage!

Fernandez shoots in looking for a takedown but Knockout manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fernandez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Fernandez avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Fernandez closes the distance and clinches up with Knockout, looking for a takedown. Fernandez pushes Knockout against the cage but Knockout circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Fernandez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fernandez on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Knockout's coach down at BEVA Fight Home was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Knockout's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Faber wants to take the fight to the mat but Preston manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Preston lands a nice elbow from the clinch. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Preston just misses with a elbow thrown towards Faber's brow. Preston lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Faber backwards. Faber working aggressively here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Preston lands a right hand that snaps the head of Faber backwards. Preston cracks Faber with a nice body shot. Preston lands a nice uppercut. With the fighters up against the cage, Preston throws an elbow but misses. 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gustav Grimwald! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Chris Dean and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A low kick from Grimwald is predictable there and Lang counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Grimwald's guard now. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Grimwald had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lang defends it easily. Lang preventing the sweep. Lang forces his way into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lang not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Lang is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Grimwald reverses the position - he's now on top in Lang's guard. Grimwald pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lang is keeping the position for now. Lang escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Grimwald gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lang looking for a sweep. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Grimwald won't allow Lang to sweep him here. Grimwald trying to control the position from guard on top but Lang is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lang might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lang has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Grimwald can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Grimwald keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lang's head. Lang is trying to keep Grimwald in close.

Grimwald seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lang does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Lang makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lang. Grimwald wants to control from the top but Lang keeps moving. Lang wants to sweep here but Grimwald controlling him for the moment. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lang wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Lang wants to sweep but no luck. That was a close round but I would say that David Lang will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Lang lands a lovely overhand right. Grimwald lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Lang here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Grimwald thuds his right hand into Lang's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like David Lang has been cut. Grimwald misses with a looping right. Lang connects with a leg kick. Grimwald looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Grimwald leaves Lang with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Lang fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lang throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Grimwald on the side of the head. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lang.

Grimwald throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lang on the side of the head. Lang lands a slapping body shot.
