Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dani Lorva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mats Sundin Smit! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lorva falls off balance throwing a combination
and Smit counters with a nice uppercut. Lorva throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Smit connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Lorva throws a nice looking combination but Smit bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lorva takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Lorva lands with a cross. Lorva swinging wildly here.
A nice inside leg kick there by Smit. That's going to slow Lorva down. Lorva misses with a double jab
and Smit counters with a crisp one two that drops Lorva! Smit thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lorva to his feet! Lorva is in big trouble!
Lorva is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lorva throws a series of punches but Smit moves out of range. Lorva connects with the punch. Lorva swings for the body but Smit moves out of range.
Lorva is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lorva throws a left and a right that both miss
and Smit counters with a nice right hand that sends Lorva toppling to the canvas! Lorva scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Smit finish him?! Oh Lorva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
It looks like Dani Lorva has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Smit throws a head kick but Lorva moves out of range.
Smit seems to be stalking Lorva here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Lorva drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Mats Sundin Smit! Mats Sundin Smit was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Left Hook! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bryan Nickoson! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hook tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Nickoson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Nickoson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nickoson shoots for a double leg takedown but Hook sprawls well. He's pushed Nickoson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. We've been told by Hook's head coaches at Tokyo Totally Gym + Sauna that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Nickoson lands a jab to Hook's midsection. Nickoson is looking to chop away at Hook's legs. Nickoson throws a jab but it's blocked by Hook. Hook moves to clinch but Nickoson breaks away and Nickoson counters with a stiff right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nickoson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hook checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Nickoson misses with a leg kick. Nice takedown defense from Hook. No joy for Nickoson on that attempt. Some wild striking there from Nickoson.
Hook closes the distance but Nickoson moves to the side and Nickoson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Hook slips a jab and a cross from Nickoson.
Hook wants to clinch and Nickoson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bryan Nickoson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nickoson is looking to score with low kicks. Hook tries to clinch but Nickoson moves away and Nickoson counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Nickoson throws a combination that misses and Hook holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Nickoson lands an uppercut. Nickoson lands a right hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Nickoson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hook backwards. Hook throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Hook's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Nickoson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Nickoson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Nickoson wants the takedown. Hook is fighting it off but Nickoson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Hook's guard against the ropes. Nickoson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nickoson is in close to Hook's body, working some short punches and elbows. Nickoson content to stall in guard here. Hook wants to get back to his feet but Nickoson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nickoson looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bryan Nickoson. Nickoson with a poor takedown and Hook counters with a three punch combo that has Nickoson backing up. Nickoson nods at Hook to acknowledge the strikes. Left Hook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bryan Nickoson. Nickoson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Nickoson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nickoson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Nickoson controlling from the top position. Hook knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nickoson on the ground. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nickoson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hook's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bryan Nickoson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nickoson misses with the combination.
Hook darts in trying to clinch and Nickoson counters with a straight right hand. Nickoson dives in and grabs Hook's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hook pushes down on Nickoson's head and hops out. Nickoson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hook is fending him off so far but Nickoson persists. Nope, Hook circles away and we're back to standing. Nickoson misses with a looping left. Nickoson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hook's guard. Nickoson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Nickoson is stalling in the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nickoson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Nickoson slows the pace down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nickoson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hook! Nickoson controlling the pace for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hook is trying to escape the mount but Nickoson keeps good control and instead manages to take Hook's back.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Nickoson has managed to slip his arm under Hook's chin. This could be all over... yep, Hook is tapping out! Submission win for Nickoson.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Bryan Nickoson! Our winner, Bryan Nickoson, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenkins clinches up with Kipei and pushes him back against the ropes. Jenkins misses with a punch to the body.
Kipei goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jenkins prevents it.
Kipei is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jenkins pulls him back up using the underhooks. Jenkins breaks the clinch.
Kipei shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jenkins defends it nicely. Jimbo Jenkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Neho Kipei. Jenkins throws a head kick that misses. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kipei is defended easily by Jenkins. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jenkins - that will leave a mark!
Jenkins circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Kipei drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Jenkins follows Kipei to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimbo Jenkins! A relieved looking Jimbo Jenkins thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
