The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kniezelis connects with a body shot.
Hunt shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Kniezelis drops Hunt with a nice combination! Kniezelis dives into Hunt's guard, looking to finish!

Hunt is rocked!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hunt pulls Kniezelis in close to prevent any damage.
Hunt is still in real trouble! Can Kniezelis finish him?
Hunt looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Hunt is adopting a defensive guard.
Hunt seems to have recovered his senses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Darius Kniezelis wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Kniezelis connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Hunt to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Kniezelis!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasilev doesn't manage to clinch there - Reis circles away.
Vasilev on the wrong end of a nice hook.
A swing and a miss from Reis.
Vasilev shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Vasilev slips a straight right by Reis.
Reis misses with a series of wild punches.
Reis throws a shot to the body.
A punch combination from Reis misses.
Vasilev looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Reis is fending him off so far but Vasilev persists. Nope, Reis circles away and we're back to standing.

Vasilev darts in looking for a takedown but Reis gets double underhooks and turns Vasilev into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vladislav Vasilev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reis stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Vasilev trying to stall but Reis improves his position.
Reis working hard to break the clinch.
Reis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Vasilev has him pressed against the cage.

Reis is trying to force a seperation but Vasilev has the dominant position.
Vasilev is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Reis to keep the fight standing.

Vasilev jumps into guard, dragging Reis to the mat.
Reis has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Vasilev is proving hard to escape from.

Vasilev is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Reis wants to get up but he can't break Vasilev's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Reis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Reis wants to control from the top but Vasilev keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reis postures up in Vasilev's guard and throws a big left but Vasilev blocks it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Vasilev thuds his shin into the meat of Reis's side.

Reis misses with a double jab.
Wilson Reis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reis lands with a cross.
Reis connects with a right hand. Vasilev shakes it off.
Reis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vasilev.
Reis defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vasilev.

Reis steps into range and cracks Vasilev with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Vasilev flops backwards and Reis dives into his guard looking to finish!

Vasilev is rocked!

It looks like Vladislav Vasilev has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Reis wanted to stand there but Vasilev had control of the position.
Oh Vasilev is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Vasilev controls Reis momentarily but Reis frees himself.
Reis throws a big right hand that misses.
Vasilev seems to have got his legs back now.
Reis tries to free his leg and advance position but Vasilev is retaining full guard.
Reis is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Vladislav Vasilev just wasn't active enough.
Reis goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Reis cracks Vasilev with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Vasilev tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Reis pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Vasilev is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wilson Reis!
