1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gus Dekker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clyde Jones! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Ben Hemmingworth.

Dekker cracks Jones with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Dekker lands with a straight right. Jones didn't see that one coming. Dekker keeps Jones at a distance using the push kick. Dekker lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Dekker thows a body kick. Jones tries to catch it but that hurt him. Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dekker tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dekker to the ground. Dekker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jones shoots for a takedown but Dekker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Gus Dekker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clyde Jones. Jones gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Jones avoids the body shot from Dekker.
Dekker connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Dekker tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dekker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jones moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Dekker paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Jones walks into a straight right hand from Dekker. Dekker scores with a jab to the jaw.
Jones darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Jones is working for a submission of some sort.
Jones has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Madz . Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Jones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dekker defends it well.

Jones is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Dekker is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Endou kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Killing in the name of - Rage Against The Machine. Brandon has chosen All Summer Long as his entrance music. Buddy Brandon will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Buddy Brandon! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Ben Hemmingworth and Skip Squint.

The fight stays on the outside here - Brandon looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Brandon throws the kick towards the body but Endou avoids it. Brandon avoids the body shot from Endou.
Endou definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Brandon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Endou sprawls well initially but Brandon persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Brandon sitting and controlling from the half guard. Endou makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Endou. Endou wants to sweep here but Brandon controlling him for the moment. Brandon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Endou is trying to control the position but Brandon postures up. Endou tries to land a sweep but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Endou looking to control.

Brandon closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Endou to the mat! Endou manages to get full guard.

Endou isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Brandon stacks Endou on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Brandon! Endou manages to work his way to half guard, despite Brandon's best efforts. Brandon trying to control from half guard but Endou is working away. Endou regains full guard. Nicely done. Brandon with a flurry of punches that miss. Endou is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Endou escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brandon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brandon content to stall in guard here. Endou wants to sweep but no luck. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brandon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Brandon avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Endou working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brandon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brandon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Endou looking for a triangle here. Brandon is fighting it but it looks tight! Endou pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Brandon is tapping out - this one is all over!

Zeus lands a high kick!
Owl throws a sloppy head kick and Zeus moves out of range easily.
Owl changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zeus looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Zeus struggling a bit here. Owl throwing strikes but missing, from side control. You can see the frustration on Zeus's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Zeus is trying to improve his position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Owl throws a strike aimed at the side of Zeus's head but Zeus avoids it well. Owl passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Zeus! Owl misses with a head shot. Owl throwing strikes here but Zeus is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Owl has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Zeus avoids a series of strikes thrown by Owl.

Owl thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Zeus is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Owl landing shots from mount. Owl landing strikes from the mount and Zeus is in trouble! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Owl lands a big shot there that rocks Zeus but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Poor strikes thrown by Owl there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Smith shoots and misses and Lawson counters with a nice kick to the body. Lawson tries to clinch up but Smith circles away and keeps his distance.
Smith shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lawson's guard. Lawson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Smith is pushing down on Lawson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lawson is fighting to maintain full guard but Smith has managed to sneak the leg through. Smith prevents Lawson from improving his position. Smith seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lawson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Lawson wants to get back to his feet.
Lawson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Smith seems to be working for a kimura but Lawson defends the submission attempt. Lawson is staying active underneath Smith, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Lawson tries to clinch but Smith moves away
so Smith counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smith is fighting to break Lawson's control of his arms but Lawson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Smith connects with a nice short shot to Lawson's temple. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Maurice Smith dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Lawson blocks a leg kick. Smith doesn't succeed with the takedown and Smith takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Lawson is looking to clinch but Smith is avoiding it.
Smith stuffs the takedown attempt from Lawson. Lawson gets slowly back to his feet. Lawson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Smith finds it's way round the side to connect with Lawson's head. Lawson stuffs the takedown. Lawson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smith swats him away and circles back towards the center. Smith swings widly with a right hand
and Lawson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Smith with a poor takedown and Lawson counters with a good, hard body kick but Smith shrugs it off. Cam Lawson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maurice Smith.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Lawson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Smith slips nicely into half guard. Smith throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Lawson to regain full guard. Smith throws a strike but Lawson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Lawson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Smith is proving hard to escape from.

Maurice Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith shoots and misses and Lawson counters with a good, hard body kick but Smith shrugs it off. Smith misses with a hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Maurice Smith will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Smith bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Lawson tries to improve position but can't. Lawson is working hard here to advance position. Smith misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Lawson can't do much from the bottom here. Smith throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Lawson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Smith wants to pass to mount but Lawson is defending the position. Smith sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Lawson defending well though. Lawson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Smith. Smith trying to mount his opponent but Lawson defends it.

Lawson uses the momentum to regain guard. Smith must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lawson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lawson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Smith has gone for a leg lock! Lawson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Smith's guard. Smith wants to stand up but Lawson is controlling him. Maurice Smith is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Lawson gets caught flat footed, as Smith shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Smith throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Maurice Smith comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Smith winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Campbell is trying to pull guard but Coulter turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Coulter with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Coulter makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Campbell jumps guard but Coulter turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Coulter lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Campbell backwards. Coulter scores with a nice hook to the head. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Campbell has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Campbell has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A quick uppercut on the inside from Coulter. Coulter lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Coulter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Campbell closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Campbell throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Coulter rushes Campbell and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Campbell is trying to drag Coulter to the mat but Coulter just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Barry Coulter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Campbell .

Coulter lands with a slapping head kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Campbell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Coulter tries to avoid it but Campbell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Coulter to the ground. Coulter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Coulter circles away from the clinch attempt.
Campbell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Coulter throws a head kick that Campbell semi-blocks.

Coulter creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Campbell with a big uppercut! Campbell tries to clinch up but Coulter pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Campbell to the mat! Campbell covers up and Coulter unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Witson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Witson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Sonnen wants to pass the guard but Witson is defending well.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sonnen makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Sonnen postures up in Witson's guard and throws a big left but Witson blocks it. Witson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Witson. Witson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Nice takedown defense from Witson. No joy for Sonnen on that attempt. Sonnen tries to clinch but Witson moves out of range. Witson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chael Sonnen will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Chael Sonnen's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sonnen. Witson connects with a solid leg kick. Sonnen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Witson as he avoids it easily. Sonnen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chael Sonnen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sonnen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Witson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Rento throws a right hand that Stuff ducks under and follows up with a left that Stuff also avoids with ease. A slapping leg kick lands for Stuff.
Stuff connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Stuff instigates a clinch. Stuff is trying to break the clinch but Rento has him pressed against the cage. Rento working aggressively here.
Stuff tries to work over Rento's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Rento is pushing Stuff up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Rento blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Rento lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Stuff or not. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Rento. Stuff lands a body shot. Rento misses with a hook from the clinch. Stuff lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Rento backwards.

Rento throws a low kick, looking for Stuff's leg but Stuff calmly moves out of range. Stuff is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Rento connects with a nice looking jab.
Stuff lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Stuff throws a head kick that misses. Rento uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stuff has time to react. Stuff with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Stuff throws a body kick that misses. Stuff tries a low kick but Rento avoids it. Rento looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Stuff takes one on the button. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stuff pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. It looks like Rento has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Rento steps in with a hook that catches Stuff right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Rento follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Stuff looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raimo Rento! Raimo Rento retains his heavyweight title! A very excited looking Raimo Rento made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. The defeated Short Stuff had this to say: '1-1 lets finish this shit bitch'.
