Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thomas Caster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kevin Mcclaren! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caster shoots in for a double leg but Mcclaren sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Caster fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Caster has closed the distance and engaged Mcclaren in a clinch.
Caster is looking to take this one to the mat. Caster definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Mcclaren wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Caster holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Mcclaren is trying to break the clinch but Caster is controlling him. Mcclaren's coach down at Impact MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Mcclaren's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Caster lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Caster jumps into guard, dragging Mcclaren to the mat.
Caster can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mcclaren controls the pace. Mcclaren wants to get up but he can't break Caster's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Caster throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Mcclaren wants to stand but Caster has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Caster on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Caster tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Caster working a defensive guard but Mcclaren manages to pass into side control anyway.
Caster is trying to control Mcclaren's posture but Mcclaren avoids it. Mcclaren slows the pace down. Mcclaren wants to control but Caster is keeping him busy. Mcclaren should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Caster isn't going anywhere. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcclaren tries to stand but Caster is controlling his head. Mcclaren tries for a kimura but Caster is defending well. Caster is looking for a sweep. Mcclaren has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Caster! Caster is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Mcclaren is looking to stand but Mcclaren has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcclaren looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Mcclaren tries to control but Caster wriggling away. Mcclaren controlling the pace for now. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Caster regains half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. It looks like Mcclaren is going to stand back up.
Caster keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Mcclaren wants to stand but Caster has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Caster tries to roll over but Mcclaren keeps him under control. Caster shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mcclaren is trying to defend but Caster finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Mcclaren flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Mcclaren is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Caster scores with a couple of nice shots. Mcclaren has hold of Caster's hands but Caster slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Mcclaren tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Caster is figuring out what he wants to do next. Mcclaren trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Caster manages to pass to mount!

A nice elbow there by Caster. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mcclaren wants to control but Caster is having none of it. Caster unloading with bombs! Caster content just to control the position here. Mcclaren is in all sorts of trouble here.

Mcclaren preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Mcclaren looking to hit a scissor sweep but Caster is one step ahead there. Caster is fighting to break Mcclaren's control of his arms but Mcclaren is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Caster stands up from Mcclaren's guard - Caster perhaps looking for a knockout.

Mcclaren throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Caster misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mcclaren tries to keep at a distance but Caster has taken the fight into the clinch. Mcclaren is trying to break the clinch but Caster has him pressed against the cage. Mcclaren's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mcclaren tries to close the distance and clinch up but Caster swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mcclaren shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Caster as he avoids it easily. Thomas Caster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Mcclaren. Mcclaren tries to clinch there but Caster circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Caster sitting in guard here, content to control. Caster drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mcclaren manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Caster has Mcclaren in his guard. Caster looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Caster bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mcclaren's guard. Caster working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Mcclaren pulls Caster in close to his closed guard and prevents Caster from doing any damage or advancing position. Caster has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Caster trying to control but Mcclaren is working from the bottom. Mcclaren trying to strike off his back.

Mcclaren is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Mcclaren is trying to keep Caster in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Caster trying to control but Mcclaren is working from the bottom. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mcclaren is on top in guard.
Caster wants to sweep here but Mcclaren controlling him for the moment.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ask gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Vettel counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ask! Vettel tries for a kimura but Ask is defending well. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Vettel cracks Ask with a big elbow. Vettel decides to stand back up. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vettel throws a right and a left that Ask avoids nicely. Vettel is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ask with a poor takedown so Vettel counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Ask keeping full guard, as Vettel tries to pass. Vettel sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Vettel lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Ask is trying to get back to full guard. Vettel perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Vettel looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ask with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Vettel wants to free his trapped foot but Ask is holding on for dear life with his legs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vettel stalling.

Ask might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ask takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Vettel looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Vettel tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vettel has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ask has his takedown stuffed and Vettel counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ask's guard now. Vettel advances to half guard. Ask wants to control but Vettel passes into side.
Ask trying to remain calm as Vettel controls from the top position. Vettel tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Vettel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Vettel wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ask, who protects the arm well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ask takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Ooooh, that looks tight… Ask is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ask and Vettel has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Vettel has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Vettel fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Ask throws a head kick that misses. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vettel misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ask tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Vettel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ask has his takedown stuffed and Vettel counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Vettel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Ask throws a right and a left that Vettel avoids nicely. Ask lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Ask throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Ask with a lazy takedown attempt and Vettel makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Vettel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Oper Ask is winning the standup battle so far. Ask tries for a takedown but Vettel circles away easily and Vettel counters by clinching up. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oper Ask. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ask tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Vettel has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Vettel fails to pull guard.
Ask tries to land a knee to the head but Vettel blocks with his arms.
Ask misses with a short punch on the inside.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vettel wants to break free but Ask has control.
Vettel has Ask pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Vettel pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ask tumbling to the mat - Vettel dives into Ask's guard. Vettel is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Vettel has gone for a leg lock! Ask slips out almost immediately though and dives into Vettel's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vettel keeping full guard, as Ask tries to pass. Vettel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ask doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ask manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ask trying to control but Vettel is working from the bottom. Ask won't allow Vettel to sweep him here. Vettel looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Vettel is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vettel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Vettel scores with a couple of good hammerfists. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vettel with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Ask is pressing down on Vettel's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice leg kick lands there from Mina. Mina scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Watt tries to clinch up and Mina counters with a low kick, right behind Watt 's knee. A chopping leg kick lands by Mina. Mina throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Watt has a takedown stuffed. Watt walks into a straight right hand from Mina. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mina throws a leg kick which misses Watt's front leg but catches the back leg as Watt tries to avoid it. Watt tries for a takedown but Mina circles away easily and Mina counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Watt darts in trying to clinch and Mina counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Michael Watt has been cut. Watt on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mina. Mina obviously looking to wear him down.
Watt looks winded! Mina lands a big head kick that sends Watt to the canvas! Mina follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlsen is looking to clinch. Hope scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Carlsen is trying to control Hope's posture but Hope avoids it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hope is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Carlsen looks calm but he's in trouble here. Hope gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Carlsen is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Hope lets go of the hold and Carlsen can pop his arm back in it's socket.
