The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Legacy shoots in and drives through. Silva sprawls well.
Silva connects with a body shot that sends Legacy's belly button to the back.
Legacy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Legacy off to one side.
Jevon Legacy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Legacy tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Silva defends well and Legacy ends up having to push Silva into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Adams tries to close the distance and clinch but Makdessi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Makdessi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Adams's guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Makdessi's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
