The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oooooh!!! Ballantine has knocked Smith down with a huge combo! Ballantine steps away and waves a wobbly Smith back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Smith pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Ballantine uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Smith.
Ballantine connects with a solid leg kick.
Ballantine scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Smith fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ballantine avoids it really well and circles away.
Smith throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ballantine throws a leg kick which misses Smith's front leg but catches the back leg as Smith tries to avoid it.
Ballantine keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Smith has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Smith there as he acknowledges the shot.

enabling Ballantine to counter with a crisp jab.

Ballantine is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Smith flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Smith is out cold! Ballantine holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
