Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Theo Doors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanislav Qnev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Theo Doors!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stanislav Qnev!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Chris Dean and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Doors has closed the distance and engaged Qnev in a clinch.
Doors drops down looking for an ankle pick but Qnev pulls his leg out and moves away.
Doors shoots in looking for a takedown. Qnev tries to sprawl out of it but Doors keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Qnev manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Qnev moves forwards but Doors connects with a nice, crisp jab.

It looks like Stanislav Qnev has been cut.

Doors fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Qnev, pushing him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Doors breaks from the clinch.
Doors tries to clinch there but Qnev circles away.
Doors misses with a looping right.

Doors cracks Qnev with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Doors has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Qnev to stand back up!

Qnev is rocked!

Doors instigates a clinch.
Qnev is still on wobbly legs! Can Doors finish him?
Qnev jumps guard but Doors stands there with Qnev around his waist. Qnev gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Qnev is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Doors to keep the fight standing.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Doors ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Doors no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Qnev seems to have recovered his senses.
Qnev slips nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Qnev stops Doors from getting back to his feet.

Qnev wants to work for an arm triangle but Doors is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Qnev is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Doors sees it coming and defends easily.
Qnev stops Doors from getting back to his feet.

Qnev wants to work for an arm triangle but Doors is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Doors is trying to stand.
Doors is staying active underneath Qnev, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Doors pushes Qnev off but Qnev dives into side control.

Qnev has an Americana. Doors didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Qnev is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Qnev hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Silva misses with a two punch combination.
Kimura misses with a double jab.
Kimura stuffs the takedown.
Silva stalks Kimura and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kimura's face. Kimura staggers backwards, shaken.
Kimura throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Silva throws a body punch but Kimura moves out of range.
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kimura tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kimura to the ground. Kimura escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kimura enables Silva to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kimura manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Silva is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Silva pushes down on Kimura's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Kimura scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Silva manages to mount him!

Silva throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Kimura has his hands clasped together but Silva breaks the hold and Kimura is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Silva!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Po shoots in and gets a takedown into Pokak's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Pokak trying to keep a closed guard but Po is proving a slippery customer.
Pokak is looking to stand up but Po isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Po wants to pass the guard but Pokak is keeping the position.

Po has gone for a leg lock! Pokak slips out almost immediately though and dives into Po's guard.
Po has his hands on Pokak's head, controlling the position.
Pokak stays in close to Po's body and controls the position.
Po is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Pokak dives in and scores a takedown into Po's guard.
Po manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Po with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Po moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Pokak has worked his arm free - good work by Pokak!

Po is trying to get an arm triangle but Pokak is defending well.

Po swings around for an armbar but Pokak sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Po's guard.
Po pulls Pokak in close to his closed guard and prevents Pokak from doing any damage or advancing position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Po can do anything to dispel that myth.

Pokak wants to stand but Po has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Po pulls Pokak in to control the position.
Pokak stopping the sweep attempt from Po.
Po is controlling Pokak's posture.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Po shoots in and bounces Pokak off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Po looks winded!
Po stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pokak swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Po drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pokak manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Po has Pokak in his guard.

Po is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Pokak tries to free his leg and advance position but Po is retaining full guard.

Pokak wants to control from the top but Po keeps moving.

Pokak forces his way into half guard.
Pokak prevents Po from improving his position.
Po controlling the position for now.
Pokak trying to pass the guard but Po defending well.
Pokak wants to control but Po is keeping him busy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gople Pokak.

Pokak gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Pokak manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Po manages to get himself to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Pokak's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Po pulls Pokak in to control the position.
Pokak wants to control from the top but Po keeps moving.
Pokak throws a big right hand that misses.
King Po has got the better of the ground game so far.

Po escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pokak gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Po is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Po seems keen to control Pokak's posture.
Po is breathing heavily.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pokak accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Po is looking to cinch up a triangle. Pokak throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Po's body to avoid the submission. Po has instead reached around Pokak's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Po arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Cena walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Reiner checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Cena takes the fight into the clinch.
Cena lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Reiner goes for a takedown in the clinch but Cena prevents it.

Cena is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Reiner is aware though and is defending well.

Well Cena has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
