0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marcos Barboza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bam Timmermans! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barboza has his takedown stuffed and Timmermans counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Barboza slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Barboza looking to control.
Barboza is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Timmermans is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barboza is really struggling to control Timmermans but he's trying to hold on to the position. Barboza manages to escape and get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Barboza shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Timmermans pinned against the cage. Timmermans gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Barboza keeps the fight on the outside. Timmermans takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Bam Timmermans has been cut. Timmermans will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Barboza takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Donk. Barboza catches Timmermans right on the button with a cross. This has been an exciting period of action! Timmermans rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Barboza moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Barboza darts in and clinches Timmermans up against the cage. Timmermans tries to break the clinch but Barboza is controlling the position. Barboza avoiding damage.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Timmermans wants to get back to his feet but Barboza is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Barboza darts in and clinches Timmermans up against the cage. Barboza crunches a lovely knee into Timmermans's ribcage. Barboza manages to break the clinch.
Barboza's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Barboza duly obliges. Timmermans has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Barboza. Barboza throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Timmermans stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Barboza takes the fight into the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Barboza's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Barboza gets control of Timmermans's arms and successfully pulls guard. Barboza will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Barboza is trying to control the position but Timmermans postures up. Marcos Barboza overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Barboza has a closed guard, preventing Timmermans from standing up. Barboza not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Barboza is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Timmermans can do to turn this around? Barboza is looking to cinch up a triangle. Timmermans throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Barboza's body to avoid the submission. Barboza has instead reached around Timmermans's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Barboza arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Kennedy goes down and covers up as Bartowski starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gustavsson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Gustavsson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gustavsson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Gracie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gustavsson swivels and escapes. A punch combination from Gustavsson misses. Gustavsson lands a nice looking body shot.

Gustavsson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gustavsson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gracie has time to react. Gracie misses with a low kick.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gustavsson can do anything to dispel that myth. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

It looks like Jones Toron has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Siren advances to full mount. Oh Toron is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Siren wants to get back to his feet but Toron is holding on tight.
Toron is squirming around, avoiding Siren's attempts to control the action. Siren is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. Toron has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Siren jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Toron manages to avoid the submission attempt. Siren tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Toron is trying to work for a sweep but Siren has mounted him! Siren is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. Toron's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Siren working for a submission but Toron is keeping him at bay. Siren wants to finish this one by submission but Toron is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Siren. Toron is in all sorts of trouble here.

Siren looks winded! Toron is desperately trying to improve his position but Siren has a good base and remains in mount. Siren is looking to stand but Siren has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Toron tries to reverse the position but Siren maintains control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Siren is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Siren extends the arm and Toron is forced to tap!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rak leaves Macotti with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Rak throws a head kick that misses. Rak displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Macotti. Rak misses with the combination.
Rak's jab looks to have found its range, popping Macotti under the eye. Rak lands a glancing blow to the side of Macotti's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Macotti has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Rak throws a body kick that misses. No luck with that takedown attempt from Macotti. Macotti's coach down at The Cave Fighting Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Macotti's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Blue Rak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Macotti. Rak slaps away a takedown attempt from Macotti, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rak tests Macotti's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Macotti fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Macotti shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rak pinned against the cage. Rak gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Sloppy strikes from Rak. Those never looked like landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Macotti has a takedown stuffed. Rak drops Macotti with a beautiful combination! Macotti stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rak is looking for the KO!
It looks like Marco Macotti has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rak misses with a head kick.
Rak throws a low kick but it's checked well by Macotti. Macotti will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rak scores with a decent looking hook. Macotti misses with a takedown attempt and Rak counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rak will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rak lands a really nice looking cross but Macotti seems unphased.
A combination from Rak does no damage. Blue Rak is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Macotti shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rak goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blue Rak dominated that round. The cut man is working on Marco Macotti's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Rak throws a right and a left that Macotti avoids nicely. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Macotti might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Rak has got the better of the exchanges. Rak keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rak stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rak wants it to stay on the feet. Rak misses with a few strikes there.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Macotti tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rak swivels and escapes. Blue Rak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Macotti. Macotti shoots in looking for a takedown. Rak tries to sprawl out of it but Macotti keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rak manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Rak leaves Macotti with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Macotti darts in looking for a takedown but Rak gets double underhooks and turns Macotti into the cage. Macotti is looking for a takedown. Macotti has Rak pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rak manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Rak pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Macotti shoots in but no luck this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rak fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Macotti looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Macotti is breathing heavily. Macotti moves out of range of the leg kick from Rak. Macotti avoids a punch combination nicely.
Macotti shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rak as he avoids it easily. Macotti fails to land the takedown. Rak lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rak looks to land a combination but Macotti avoids it well. Rak throws a one two combo.
Horrible takedown by Macotti or perhaps it was just good defense by Rak which made him look bad. Rak throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Macotti. Rak moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Macotti is defended easily by Rak. Rak stuns Macotti with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Blue Rak is winning the standup battle so far. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Macotti doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Macotti dives in for a single leg takedown but Rak sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Rak breaks from the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blue Rak dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Marco Macotti's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Macotti closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rak circles away. Rak throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Blue Rak is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rak lands a big head kick that sends Macotti tumbling to the mat! Rak takes a step backwards and waves Macotti back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Macotti is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rak lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Macotti at a distance.
Macotti is still on wobbly legs! Can Rak finish him? Rak ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Macotti drops his hands momentarily. Rak doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Macotti staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Macotti doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Humping throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Penn looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Penn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Humping keeps working. Humping gets full guard. Penn preventing the sweep. Humping utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Penn drops back looking for a leg! Humping is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Humping manages to kick Penn off! Penn jumps back into Humping's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Humping had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Penn defends it easily. Penn trying to control the position from guard on top but Humping is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Penn trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Humping trying to strike off his back.
Humping escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Penn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Penn trying to control the position from guard on top but Humping is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Humping throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy. Penn stopping the sweep attempt from Humping. Penn content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Penn wants to control from the top but Humping keeps moving. Humping trying to strike off his back.

Penn is aware though and is defending well. Penn lands a couple of elbows. Humping is looking to sweep but instead, Penn has passed into half guard.
Penn is looking for a kimura but Humping is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Penn to get the leverage. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Penn seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Humping does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Penn is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Penn has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. This has been an exciting period of action! The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Penn connects with a nice short shot to Humping's temple. Penn seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Humping is in big trouble! We've been informed that Nogueira has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Roid throws a leg kick that misses. A shot to the liver by Nogueira. Beautiful body shot. Nogueira scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Nogueira decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Nogueira looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Roid walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Nogueira shoots and misses and Roid counters with an outside leg kick.

Roid sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Aster Roid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Nogueira. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Roid dodges the punch combination from Nogueira.

Nogueira tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Roid defends well and Nogueira ends up having to push Roid into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Nogueira is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Roid moves out of range of the strikes. Roid connects with a body shot that sends Nogueira's belly button to the back. Nogueira drops Roid with a straight right hand, right on the button! Nogueira follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Bravo pushing out the jab but it's not landing. McNash has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. McNash throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McNash ducks under a wild hook from Bravo. Bravo has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Facebreaker Academy : Striking in the buildup to the fight. McNash throws a low kick but Bravo avoids it. McNash darts in and clinches Bravo up against the cage. Bravo wants to stall.

Bravo slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Bravo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McNash swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bravo passes McNash's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Bravo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McNash doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bravo. Bravo maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! McNash could be in real trouble here!
