The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Begin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bush did well to prevent Begin getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Begin seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Begin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Begin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Begin missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Begin landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Begin thows a huge punch but Bush dodges it nicely.
Begin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bush keeps working.

Begin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bush is just riding it out for now. Begin eventually gives up the hold.

Powers doesn't manage to clinch there - Matos circles away.
