The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chigurh avoids the body shot from Kush.
A nice combination there by Chigurh.
Chigurh gets the takedown into side control. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. An elbow from Chigurh crashes against the mat.
Chigurh swings around for an armbar but Kush sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Chigurh's guard. Kush with a flurry of punches that miss. Kush looking to pass the guard. Kush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kush connects with a couple of short punches. Kush slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Chigurh not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kush accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kush is stalling in the full guard.

Kush trying to control the position from guard on top but Chigurh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Chigurh wants to sweep here but Kush controlling him for the moment.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kush closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Chigurh quickly recovers to half guard. Kush wants to work for an arm triangle but Chigurh is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Chigurh is refusing to be controlled, as Kush sits in half guard. Kush really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kush stalling. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kush looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chigurh with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Kush is pressing down on Chigurh's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chigurh is holding on for now. That's three minutes gone in the round. Chigurh wants to get back to his feet. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Kush throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kush takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Kush controlling the pace. Nice strikes from Kush there. Kush is pressing down on Chigurh's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chigurh is holding on for now. Kush is keen to just control but Chigurh is a slippery customer. Kush has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Chigurh is trying desperately to improve position.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kush cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The referee warns Chigurh that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kush postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Chigurh looks a forlorn figure.

Kush connects with a massive shot to the dome!
This has been an exciting period of action! Kush raining down hammerfists from mount. Chigurh takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Bourbon Conde bounces back off the cage towards Masters, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Masters lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Masters celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from Syatt. Those never looked like landing. Callaghan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Syatt darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Callaghan is trying to maintain the position but Syatt is very close to passing his half guard. Callaghan gets back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Grynworst fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lance avoids it really well and circles away. Grynworst lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lance at a distance.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Lance enables Grynworst to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lance manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Grynworst trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lance utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Grynworst keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lance's head. Grynworst prevents Lance from improving his position. Borthol Grynworst is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Lance is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Still in half guard, Grynworst seems content to control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lance wants to control but Grynworst is keeping busy.
