The bell rings for round one and we are underway! LaMotta fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Thullstrup, pushing him back against the cage. Nice body punch from LaMotta - that landed with a thud.
LaMotta has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Thullstrup is trying to keep an underhook but LaMotta manages to get the takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. LaMotta seems to be working for a kimura but Thullstrup defends the submission attempt. LaMotta stalling. LaMotta seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Thullstrup is not content to let LaMotta control the position. LaMotta has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zubar lunges at Jakobsen with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jakobsen's hand. Sloppy strikes from Zubar. Those never looked like landing. Zubar swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A left and a right from Zubar both land. Nice combination. Donk. Zubar catches Jakobsen right on the button with a cross. Zubar misses the jab. Zubar throws a low kick but it's checked well by Jakobsen. Zubar misses the jab. Zubar uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jakobsen has time to react. Zubar throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zubar connects with a single shot there. Jakobsen shoots in for a double leg but Zubar sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Zubar jabs Jakobsen to the body, keeping him at a distance. The fighters circle momentarily. Zubar darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Zubar tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jakobsen was well out of range. Poor timing from Zubar. Jakobsen on the wrong end of a nice jab. Jakobsen doesn't succeed with the takedown and Zubar counters with a straight right hand. Jakobsen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zubar as he avoids it easily. Ronald Zubar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adolf Jakobsen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kirk has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Kirk escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kirk is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lee content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Kirk bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lee's guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good standup being displayed there by Martin as he connects with a hook. Mario Eikmeyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Eikmeyer takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Martin slaps away a takedown attempt from Eikmeyer, before circling back to the center of the mat. Martin cracks Eikmeyer with an open hand slap. Martin lands with a nice body punch. Martin scoring well with a low kick there.

Keith Martin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Eikmeyer. Eikmeyer shoots in and drives through. Martin sprawls well. Eikmeyer has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Martin finds it's way round the side to connect with Eikmeyer's head. The fighters circle momentarily. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barbaro dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kincaid. That did some damage! Kincaid misses the jab. Kincaid tries to close the distance and clinch up but Barbaro swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kincaid tries to clinch but Barbaro moves out of range. Kincaid throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
