The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chris tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Saunders pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Saunders misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Chris.
Chris scores with a push kick. Fred Saunders seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chris is looking to clinch but Saunders is avoiding it.
Saunders throws a head kick that misses. Saunders throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chris sees it coming and avoids it easily. Saunders moves into the clinch successfully.

Saunders is looking to break free of the clinch but Chris has double underhooks. Saunders tries to land knees in the clinch but Chris avoids the damage to the body. Chris lands a body shot. Saunders is breathing heavily. A short left from Chris. Chris digs a right hand into Saunders's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Saunders's gas tank. Chris lands with a left to the head. Chris breaks the clinch momentarily and cracks Saunders with a big right hook that drops him to the canvas! Saunders looks like he might be in big trouble here! The referee has started the count straight away and we're up to 5 already. Saunders get to one knee - can he make it back to his feet? No, he's flopped back to the mat - he's out - this one is all over!

Rutherford tries to bum rush El Chapo with a series of wild strikes but El Chapo uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rutherford thumps El Chapo with a low kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rutherford obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Rutherford moves out of range of the strikes. El Chapo avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Rutherford attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. El Chapo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. El Chapo lands the left hand. Rutherford takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. El Chapo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That was a close second round but I would say that Steven Rutherford will probably get the nod. That's time! Rutherford's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fighter feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Smallss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Good standup being displayed there by Fighter as he connects with a hook. Fighter lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Smalls missing with a left hand there. Fighter was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Smalls thows a body shot but no joy. Smalls takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Smalls bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Fighter stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Smalls closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Knees in the clinch landing for Fighter.

Fighter is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Smalls drops his guard momentarily, allowing Fighter to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Smalls! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Fighter takes it!

Ratan Negi struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!
