 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maddox throws a right and a left that Ortega avoids nicely. Ortega throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jab by Maddox. Ortega swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Maddox counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Maddox ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ortega moves away. Juan Carlos Ortega seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Maddox misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ortega.

 Ortega is rocked! Ortega is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Maddox doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Ortega crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Ortega's bad books for that mishap!

I think Isotalo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Battle Metal by Turisas. The crowd seem to be enjoying Minard's choice of entrance music: I Against I. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Minard throws out a loose jab but Isotalo uses good head movement to avoid it. Minard is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Isotalo. Isotalo tries to bum rush Minard with a series of wild strikes but Minard uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Minard misses with a straight right. Isotalo fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Isotalo defending well as Minard loads up on a big left hand. Isotalo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Minard is looking to clinch. Isotalo moves out of range of the leg kick from Minard. Minard misses with a wild body shot. Isotalo lands with a right hand. Isotalo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Minard looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Isotalo slips under a jab. A shot to the body from Isotalo misses letting Minard counter with a right hand. A lazy left from Minard finds it's target. Isotalo pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Isotalo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Minard momentarily.

That sent Minard stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Isotalo stalks Minard and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Minard's face. Minard staggers backwards, shaken. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Isotalo ducks under a wild hook from Minard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Isotalo will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Isotalo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Minard defends it nicely. Isotalo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Tamura tries to bum rush Erickson with a series of wild strikes but Erickson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Tamura misses with an uppercut. Erickson saw that one coming.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Kleineiche.
Kleineiche throws a series of punches but Nowak avoids them all with ease. Herbert Kleineiche seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A slow jab from Kleineiche misses its intended target. Kleineiche looks to land a right hand but Nowak moved out of range. Nowak takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Teboulbi looks to land a combination but Hayes avoids it well. Teboulbi defending well as Hayes loads up on a big left hand. Teboulbi gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hayes. Teboulbi misses with an uppercut. Teboulbi walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Teboulbi misses with a two punch combination.
Hayes fails with the takedown. Teboulbi lands with an uppercut that bounces Hayes off the ropes and back into rage.

Teboulbi misses with a shot to the body and Hayes counters with a left and a right that stings Teboulbi. Hayes throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hayes does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Left hook, right uppercut from Hayes. Hayes dives in and grabs Teboulbi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Teboulbi pushes down on Hayes's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gary Hayes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Teboulbi punishes Hayes's body with a nice straight punch. Hayes is breathing heavily. Teboulbi lands the left hand. Teboulbi lands a jab to the nose.

Teboulbi drops Hayes with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hayes looks back up at him and smiles so Teboulbi waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
 Hayes is rocked! Teboulbi circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Hayes tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Teboulbi wins by KO!

Max Dagani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dagani tries to bum rush Retso with a series of wild strikes but Retso uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Retso throws a leg kick that misses. Retso pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The fighters circling - Dagani throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Retso fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dagani. Retso on the wrong end of a nice jab.
 It looks like Drake Retso has been cut. Dagani blocks a low kick nicely.

Dagani tries to get back to half guard but can't. Retso is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Dagani can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Retso works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Dagani tries to bench press Retso off him but Retso keeps the position. Drake Retso dominated that round. The cut man is working on Drake Retso's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Retso throws the kick towards the body but Dagani avoids it. Dagani moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Retso ducks under a wild hook from Dagani. Dagani throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Nice body punch from Dagani. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dagani swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Retso. Nice uppercut lands for Dagani. That snapped Retso's head back.
 That has opened up Drake Retso's cut even more. Dagani dips to his left and cracks Retso with an uppercut! Dagani cracks Retso with an open hand slap. A looping hook to the body misses from Dagani. Retso does a little dance to reset his feet. Dagani misses with a wild combination.
A shot to de liver by Dagani. Beautiful body shot. Retso is breathing heavily. Retso takes a body punch but keeps moving. Dagani is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Dagani lands a left and a right that send Retso crashing to the mat, dazed. Dagani thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
 The cut above Drake Retso's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Drake Retso's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
