Franticelli tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kucera swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Franticelli lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kucera backs up against the cage.
Kucera dodges the punch combination from Franticelli.

Franticelli tries to sprawl but Kucera drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Kucera uses his free foot to push down on Franticelli's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Franticelli.
Franticelli wants to hold on but Kucera pushes him away.
Franticelli is squirming around, avoiding Kucera's attempts to control the action.

Kucera working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Franticelli looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Kucera! Submission of the night perhaps?

That was a close second round but I would say that Rigoberto Lamas will probably get the nod.

Rigoberto Lamas decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
