The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tu tries for a takedown but PoopyPants sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A slow jab from Tu misses its intended target. Tu throws a lazy right hand but PoopyPants sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. PoopyPants moves out of range as Tu strikes. Tu needs to keep his hands up - PoopyPants had a free shot at his head there. PoopyPants connects with the punch. PoopyPants has taken the fight to the clinch.

Tu drives through with a takedown into guard. Tu throwing strikes but missing. Tu landing with the ground and pound. PoopyPants keeping full guard, as Tu tries to pass. PoopyPants working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tu manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. PoopyPants utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Tu trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Tu missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. PoopyPants is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! PoopyPants looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tu stands and throws PoopyPants's legs to the side, diving into side control. Tu scores with punches from side control. Tu tries to advance to mount but can't. PoopyPants struggling a bit here. PoopyPants manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Tu wants to pass to mount but PoopyPants is defending the position. Tu passes to full mount! Tu lands a big elbow. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tu connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Tu is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. PoopyPants can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That was a close round but I would say that BitchFace PoopyPants will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Tu might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Tu takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Datsik scrambles back to his feet. A decent looking cross lands there for Cannon. Datsik displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cannon throws out the jab. Viacheslav Datsik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Datsik lands a body shot.

Cannon is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. A head kick from Datsik lands but Cannon takes it in his stride. Nice shot by Datsik. Cannon sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Cannon scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Cannon tries to bum rush Datsik with a series of wild strikes but Datsik uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Cannon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Cannon scores with a hook. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Datsik.
Datsik moves into range and connects with a jab. Datsik cracks Cannon with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Cannon is trying to keep his angry face on. Cannon lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Datsik at a distance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Datsik cracks Cannon with a right hand to the side of the head. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laine fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Laine moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Yip Man throws a looping overhand right but Laine ducks down to avoid it. Yip Man lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. A nice inside leg kick there by Laine. That's going to slow Yip Man down. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Yip Man slips a jab from Laine. Laine feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Yip Man sprawling to the canvas! Yip Man rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Laine finish him?!

Yip Man is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manres keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ford misses with a left hand so Manres counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Manres pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ford is keeping the position for now. Ford is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Manres tries to free his leg and advance position but Ford is retaining full guard. Manres is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Manres trying to control but Ford is working from the bottom. Manres postures up in Ford's guard and throws a big left but Ford blocks it. Manres trying to control the position from guard on top but Ford is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manres has gone for a leg lock! Ford slips out almost immediately though and dives into Manres's guard. Ford looking to sit in guard and control but Manres gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Manres lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Ford is trying to keep Manres in close.

Good work there from Ford! Manres is trying to escape the position but Ford is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ford works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Manres is letting Ford control him for a moment. Manres gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Ford is trying to control. Manres wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Manres wants to control the pace but Ford is squirming around nicely. BOOM! Manres connects with a massive shot to the dome!
