Gorm changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tupy tries to avoid it but Gorm manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tupy to the ground. Tupy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Tupy swings for the body but Gorm moves out of range.

Gorm throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tupy was covering up waiting for the punch and Gorm finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Gorm's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gorm lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tupy has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tupy and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Man shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

and Kadota counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kadota is keen to just control but Man is a slippery customer.

After initially coming in at 136.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boothe lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Garnett misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Boothe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Garnett staying out of range there.
Garnett throws out a leg kick but Boothe moves out of range and Garnett only half commits.
Garnett takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Garnett lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Boothe has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Boothe and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
