7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Eugene Elephant ! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potasu swings for the body but Elephant moves out of range.
Elephant misses with a leg kick. Elephant has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Potasu is landing a low percentage of strikes. Elephant throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Elephant moves forwards but Potasu connects with a nice, crisp jab.
It looks like Eugene Elephant has been cut. Potasu lands the left hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Elephant looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Elephant throws a lazy right hand but Potasu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Elephant blocks a jab. Potasu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Elephant throws out the jab. Potasu works the jab nicely.
That has opened up Eugene Elephant 's cut even more. Potasu throws a shot from downtown. Elephant moves away and avoids it. Potasu stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Elephant . Elephant takes the fight into the clinch. Potasu tries to throw a body punch but Elephant avoids it by throwing Potasu back against the cage. I was talking to Potasu's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. A head punch blocked on the inside by Potasu. Potasu working aggressively here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elephant has a couple of punches blocked by Potasu.
Potasu is trying to break the clinch but Elephant is controlling him. Elephant blocking some punches.
Potasu throws a head punch that misses. A short right from Potasu on the inside. Potasu content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Elephant gets through Potasu's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Elephant just misses with a elbow thrown towards Potasu's brow. Elephant throws a punch but it's blocked by Potasu. Elephant can't find room to land a body shot as Potasu controls the action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A nice right hand lands inside from Elephant . A head punch blocked on the inside by Elephant . A short right from Potasu on the inside. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Potasu takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Potasu lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Potasu looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Elephant scores with a shot to the side of Potasu's head. Potasu tries to break free but Elephant pushes him back against the cage. Elephant lands a body punch in the clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Potasu taking a breather. Maybe Potasu would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much. Still in the clinch, Potasu scores with a nice short uppercut. Elephant utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Potasu is breathing heavily. Elephant swings wildly with an uppercut but Potasu uses good head movement to avoid it.

Elephant closes the distance and clinches. Elephant landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Elephant lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Potasu backwards. A short right hand to the side of the head by Elephant . Potasu gets through Elephant 's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A quick uppercut on the inside from Elephant .
Potasu is rocked! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Elephant creates a bit of distance and unloads a huge uppercut that knocks Potasu out cold! The ref dives in to break up the two fighters! The fight is over!

De Fran scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. A nice inside leg kick there by De Fran. That's going to slow Andre down. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! De Fran tries to work over Andre's front leg with a kick but Andre checks it. Andre has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Andre moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Andr De Fran is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

He's got his arms around De Fran's waist but De Fran gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Andre off to one side. De Fran throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Andre tries to clinch up but De Fran circles away and keeps his distance. De Fran fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Nice shot by De Fran. Andre falls off balance throwing a combination
and De Fran counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Andre thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on De Fran if he has to take too many more of those.
Andre tries to score a power double leg takedown but De Fran sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Andre somewhat. De Fran tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Andre is able to avoid easily. De Fran misses with a low kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andre gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. De Fran presses Andre against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Good body shot from De Fran.

Oh Andre is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A nice glancing elbow lands by De Fran. De Fran digs a right hand into Andre's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Andre's gas tank. Andre is breathing heavily. With the fighters clinched against the cage, De Fran creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. De Fran dips a shoulder and cracks Andre with a mighty uppercut! Andre falls back against the cage and De Fran unloads with a barrage of strikes! Andre is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - De Fran screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Malaki lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Malaki works Rold's body with a nice hook. Rold tries to score with a low kick but Malaki moves his leg out of the way. Malaki looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Rold fails with a takedown attempt. Rold scores with a kick to the midsection. Malaki misses with a shot to the body and Rold counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Malaki on the wrong end of a nice jab. Malaki checks a low kick from Rold. Rold on the wrong end of a nice jab. Malaki jabs at Rold's body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Excellent takedown into side control there by Rold. Rold postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Malaki can't do much from the bottom here. We've been hearing good reports from Malaki's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Malaki tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rold wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Malaki really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Rold wants to control but Malaki is keeping him busy. Malaki manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rold's best efforts. Rold is trying to control the action in half guard but Malaki is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Malaki is looking to improve his position.

Malaki controlling the position. Malaki has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Rold trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Malaki will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Malaki pulls Rold in close to his closed guard and prevents Rold from doing any damage or advancing position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The ref stands the fighters back up. Yancy Malaki wasn't doing enough on the ground. Malaki tries to sprawl but Rold drives through with a takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rold seems to be looking for submissions.
Rold is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Malaki is just riding it out for now. Rold eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Rold trying to control the action but Malaki is working from the bottom. Malaki moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Rold stopping the sweep attempt from Malaki. Rold looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rold wants to control from the top but Malaki keeps moving. Malaki controlling the position. Rold tries to free his leg and advance position but Malaki is retaining full guard. Rold controlling from the top position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Rold bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Rold throws a jab but it's blocked by Malaki. Malaki throws the left hand but Rold avoids the punch easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rold looks for the body kick but Malaki saw that one coming. Yancy Malaki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Malaki takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Malaki scores with a shot to the body.
Rold misses with a left hand and Malaki counters with a stiff right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Yancy Malaki will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Rold does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Rold tries to work over Malaki's front leg with a kick but Malaki checks it. Rold moves forwards but Malaki connects with a nice, crisp jab. Rold misses with a right hand and Rold takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Malaki with a nice cross. Rold throws a leg kick but Malaki sees it coming and checks it nicely. Malaki is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Malaki takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Yancy Malaki is winning the standup battle so far. Rold misses with a low kick. Rold throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Malaki chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rold can pounce on him.

and Rold counters with a nice body kick. Rold will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Malaki wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Malaki punishes Rold's body with a nice straight punch. Malaki slaps away a takedown attempt from Rold, before circling back to the center of the mat. A solid leg kick lands there for Rold.

Malaki keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Yancy Malaki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Enrique Rold. A bone on bone clash there as Malaki blocks the leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Malaki connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Rold tries to bum rush Malaki with a series of wild strikes but Malaki uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Malaki swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Malaki counters with a left and a right that stings Rold. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rold looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Nice shot by Malaki. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Malaki, as that shot connected.
Malaki throws a jab when Rold was well out of range. Malaki closes the distance and lands a one-two. Malaki slips a jab and a cross from Rold.

and Malaki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rold gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Rold looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Enrique Rold has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

We've been informed that Brown has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Brown misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Karelin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Karelin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The ground and pound from Karelin seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Brown is looking to reverse the position. Karelin scoring with punches from side control. Brown parries the strikes from Karelin easily there. Karelin is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Brown to escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Karelin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Brown has escaped the position, nice work there. Karelin is trying to ground and pound but Brown uses the momentary lack of control by Karelin to regain half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brown is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Karelin flashes Brown a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Brown's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Brown crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Karelin punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Namath has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Satanous is landing a low percentage of strikes. Satanous takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Timma throws a push kick but Simans slaps the foot to one side. Simans misses with a low kick as Timma jumps back. Simans tried to score with a low kick but Timma checks it. We've been hearing reports that Simans has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Timma checks a low kick from Simans. Timma wants to clinch up but Simans keeps it at a distance. Simans is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Timma throws a lazy head kick and Simans counters with a single leg into guard. Timma didn't expect that. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kim misses with a looping left. Ribeiro Da Silva lands with a right hand. Ribeiro Da Silva throws a head kick that Kim semi-blocks.
Ribeiro Da Silva lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Joao Ribeiro Da Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kim fails with the takedown. Ribeiro Da Silva has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Ribeiro Da Silva lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kim misses with a right hand and Ribeiro Da Silva cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Ribeiro Da Silva throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Ribeiro Da Silva dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kim. That did some damage! Kim blocks a jab. Ribeiro Da Silva moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. A big right from Kim misses. Kim shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ribeiro Da Silva's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kim is working hard here to advance position. Ribeiro Da Silva trying to control but he's not successful this time. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kim is working to get back to half guard.

Ribeiro Da Silva throws a body kick that misses. Ribeiro Da Silva lands with a hook. Kim tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Kim looks for a takedown but Ribeiro Da Silva sprawls well. Kim takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kim, as that shot connected.
Kim with a jab. Ribeiro Da Silva throws a front kick aimed at Kim's knee but Kim avoids it well. Kim throws a leg kick but Ribeiro Da Silva moved away. Ribeiro Da Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kim looks for the body kick but Ribeiro Da Silva saw that one coming. Kim swinging wildly here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ribeiro Da Silva throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Ribeiro Da Silva throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Kim throws a big shot that misses. Ribeiro Da Silva throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Kim circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kim shoots in for a takedown but Ribeiro Da Silva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A low kick from Ribeiro Da Silva misses and Kim counters with a takedown into side control. Kim working the ground and pound. Kim tries to advance to mount but can't. You can see the frustration on Ribeiro Da Silva's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kim just content to control the position.

Ribeiro Da Silva manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kim's best efforts. Ribeiro Da Silva is trying to get back to full guard. Kim working the head and body with strikes. Kim passes to full mount! Ribeiro Da Silva is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kim scoring with strikes but Ribeiro Da Silva is staying in there. BOOM! Kim connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A nice elbow there by Kim. Kim goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Ribeiro Da Silva turns into him and now he's in Kim's guard.

Roberto Kim overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kim looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kim is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ribeiro Da Silva doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kim.

Not this time though. Kim working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Ribeiro Da Silva's thigh. Ribeiro Da Silva counters though and makes it back to full guard. Kim wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ribeiro Da Silva keeps working. Ribeiro Da Silva is trying to get back to half guard.

Kim creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ribeiro Da Silva sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Kim working the head and body with strikes. Sloppy strikes there by Kim. Kim wants to control but Ribeiro Da Silva is keeping him busy. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ribeiro Da Silva is pushing Kim's head away, looking to escape. Kim manages to hold on to the position though.
