The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alves shoots in for a double leg but Goins sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Alves rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Goins counters with a good low kick that Alves was not able to check. Alves throws a nice looking combination but Goins bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Alves just misses with a punch to the body.
Goins keeps the fight on the outside. Alves ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Goins moves away. Goins pulls out of a head kick attempt.
No luck for Goins with that takedown attempt. Goins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alves tries to avoid it but Goins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alves to the ground. Alves escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Alves has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Xtreme Punishment in the buildup to the fight. A solid body kick from Goins. Goins on the wrong end of a nice hook. Alves stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Alves wants it to stay on the feet. Burns tries to clinch but Arvanitidis moves away and Arvanitidis counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Burns's guard now. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Arvanitidis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Arvanitidis prevents Burns from getting back to his feet. Burns has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Burns on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Burns tries to get out of the position. Arvanitidis slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Watanabe has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Watanabe shoots in and gets a takedown into Sudo's guard. Watanabe connects with a couple of short punches. Watanabe is looking to work some ground and pound but Sudo has wrist control. And that's the end of the fight! Chibi Tsushima showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tsushima, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sakuraba throws the left hand but Peoples avoids the punch easily. Peoples tries to close the distance and clinch but Sakuraba swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Peoples fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Peoples throws the kick towards the body but Sakuraba avoids it. Peoples closes the distance and clinches. Sakuraba is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Peoples gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Peoples unloads a knee to the mid-section. Peoples breaks from the clinch.
A left and a right from Peoples both land. Nice combination. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sakuraba fails with an attempt to clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanches dips to his left and cracks Balingit with an uppercut!
It looks like Ej Balingit has been cut. Balingit connects with the punch. Sanches lands a big right hand that sends Balingit crashing to the mat! Sanches stays standing though and waves Balingit back to his feet! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The fight moves into the clinch position. Sanches lands with a light punch inside.
Balingit is rocked! Balingit using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Sanches has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Sanches lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Balingit. Sanches blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Sanches lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Oh Balingit is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Our sources have told us that Balingit has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Sanches escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Balingit seems to have got his legs back now. Sanches has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Sanches thuds a left hand into Balingit's body. Sanches misses with a body shot.
Balingit takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Sanches tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Balingit was well out of range. Poor timing from Sanches. Sanches throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Balingit. Balingit slips under a jab from Sanches. Balingit takes a swing at Sanches's ribcage but misses. Balingit looks to land a left hand but Sanches moved out of range nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Balingit connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Sanches's hands. Sanches misses with a body shot.
Sanches drops Balingit with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Balingit looks back up at him and smiles so Sanches waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Sanches uses the oldest trick in the book to send Balingit tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Sanches is absolutely delighted - when Balingit wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
