The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murphy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Maeda.

and Maeda counters with a flying knee. Nice. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Maeda tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Murphy swivels and escapes. Maeda takes a shot right to the bread basket. Joe Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Murphy misses the body punch and Maeda counters with a massive head kick! KABOOM! Murphy is out cold! A devastating KO!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shambles forces Thor back against the cage and clinches. Thor lands a takedown into guard.

Thor is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Shambles is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Shambles has escaped and now he's on top! Shambles sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Thor's guard. Shambles is looking for a kimura here.

This one could be over very soon! Shambles goes limp - he's gone! Thor jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Blachowicz bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A decent looking body kick lands there for Blachowicz. Blachowicz takes a jab right on the kisser.
Blachowicz's coach down at Island Premium CT was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Blachowicz's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Blachowicz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Liege finds it's way round the side to connect with Blachowicz's head. Blachowicz avoids a punch combination nicely.

McCrank gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Moules. McCrank dodges the punch combination from Moules.

That's one minute gone in the round. Moules looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. McCrank closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Moules's guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. McCrank drops back looking for a leg! Moules is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Moules manages to kick McCrank off! McCrank jumps back into Moules's guard. McCrank tries to free his leg and advance position but Moules is retaining full guard. Moules is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. McCrank thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. McCrank drops back looking for a leg! Moules is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Moules manages to kick McCrank off! McCrank jumps back into Moules's guard. Moules had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McCrank defends it easily. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! McCrank is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McCrank wants to pass the guard but Moules is keeping the position. McCrank could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. McCrank drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. McCrank seems to have locked his on tight now - Moules screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for McCrank, as he picks up the win!
