The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogueira walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Thug feints a jab promting Nogueira to slip. Thug then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Nogueira slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Nogueira shoots for a double leg takedown but Thug sprawls well. He's pushed Nogueira's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nogueira goes for a double leg but Thug avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Thug continues to drive forward.

Hatake fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hatake dives in and grabs Naamahaara's left leg, looking for a takedown. Naamahaara pushes down on Hatake's head and hops out.
Naamahaara tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hatake throws a wild body kick that Naamahaara sees coming a mile off.
Hatake has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hatake turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hatake manages to end up in side control.

Hatake has an Americana. Naamahaara didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Hatake is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Hatake hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
