Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ace Cobella (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beaver Cleaver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ace Cobella has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ace Cobella seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Beaver Cleaver! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cleaver takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Cleaver looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Cobella lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cleaver backs up against the cage.
Cobella lands a lovely overhand right. Cleaver takes a shot right to the bread basket. Cobella lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cleaver's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Cobella connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Cleaver scrambles back to his feet. Cleaver misses with a looping left. Cleaver takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Cobella scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Cobella throws a shot to the body.
Beaver Cleaver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cobella lands a big uppercut and Cleaver crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Cleaver looks OK. Cobella waves Cleaver back to his feet!
Cleaver is rocked! Cobella scores with a body shot.
Cleaver is still on wobbly legs! Can Cobella finish him? Cleaver steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cobella. Cleaver get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Cleaver stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Cobella runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ace Cobella! After the fight, Ace Cobella was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anadrade shoots in looking for a takedown. Rivas tries to sprawl out of it but Anadrade keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rivas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Anadrade shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rivas is trying to defend but Anadrade finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Rivas trying to hold on to Anadrade's head to control him but Anadrade postures up.
Rivas is looking to escape. Rivas is refusing to be controlled, as Anadrade sits in half guard. Rivas tries to get to full guard but Anadrade has control of the leg. Anadrade knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rivas on the ground. Anadrade takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Anadrade looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rivas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Anadrade stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rivas swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rivas is trying to keep Anadrade in close.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rivas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anadrade can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Anadrade scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Anadrade is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Anadrade wants to control from the top but Rivas keeps moving. Anadrade has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Anadrade working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Anadrade throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rivas looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Rivas displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Anadrade. Anadrade fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rivas avoids it really well and circles away. Rivas wants to clinch. Rivas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rivas wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcos Anadrade. That's going to take a lot out of him. Anadrade shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rivas sprawls well. Rivas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Anadrade gets slowly back to his feet. Anadrade looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rivas is fending him off so far but Anadrade persists. Nope, Rivas circles away and we're back to standing. Anadrade tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rivas swivels and escapes.

Anadrade shoots in looking for a takedown but Rivas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Anadrade's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Anadrade darts in looking for a takedown but Rivas gets double underhooks and turns Anadrade into the cage. Anadrade jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rivas walks away with a smile on his face. Anadrade gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. A jab-cross combination lands for Rivas and sends Anadrade crashing to the mat! Rivas follows him down to the mat - Anadrade regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Marcos Anadrade has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Rivas is trying to control. Anadrade wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Anadrade blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rivas. Anadrade has hold of Rivas's hands but Rivas slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Rivas is looking to take a break and control but Anadrade is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rivas perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Rivas thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Anadrade's head. Anadrade is not content to let Rivas control the position. We've been informed that Rivas has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rivas not landing any meaningful shots this time. Rivas thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Anadrade's head. Rivas looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Rivas trying to control the action but Anadrade is working from the bottom. Anadrade on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Anadrade tries to get out of the position. Rivas wants to free his trapped foot but Anadrade is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Oscar Rivas. Rivas throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Rivas darts in and clinches Anadrade up against the cage. Rivas gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Anadrade.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rivas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rivas throws a head kick that misses. Anadrade throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rivas's waist but Rivas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Anadrade off to one side. Anadrade shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rivas defends it nicely. Rivas misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Anadrade has a takedown stuffed. Rivas feints a jab promting Anadrade to slip. Rivas then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Anadrade slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Rivas scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anadrade fails with a takedown attempt. Rivas moves in looking to clinch but Anadrade pushes him off. Rivas moves into the clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rivas holding his opponent close, against the cage.

Rivas shoots in for a takedown but Anadrade shows good takedown defense. Rivas throws a leg kick which misses Anadrade's front leg but catches the back leg as Anadrade tries to avoid it. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Anadrade changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rivas tries to avoid it but Anadrade manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rivas to the ground. Rivas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Rivas tries to clinch there but Anadrade circles away.
Rivas lands with a shot to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oscar Rivas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Marcos Anadrade's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Rivas is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Anadrade with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Anadrade trying to control the position from guard on top but Rivas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Anadrade slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Rivas is looking for a triangle but Anadrade pushes his legs off easily.
Anadrade lands a couple of digs. Anadrade postures up in Rivas's guard and throws a big left but Rivas blocks it. Rivas kicks Anadrade off and gets to his feet. Anadrade circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rivas listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Anadrade looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rivas is fending him off so far but Anadrade persists. Nope, Rivas circles away and we're back to standing. Nice body kick from Rivas. Rivas lands a two punch combo.
Anadrade has his takedown stuffed and Rivas counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Rivas looking to finish! Oh Anadrade is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rivas is looking to work some ground and pound but Anadrade has wrist control. Rivas advances position into side control! Rivas scores with a couple of short elbows. Anadrade takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Rivas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Anadrade is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Rivas is controlling him well. Anadrade tries to get back to half guard but can't. Anadrade seems to have got his legs back now. Anadrade is not content to let Rivas control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rivas creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. You can see the frustration on Anadrade's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Rivas is trying to get an arm triangle but Anadrade is defending well. Anadrade avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Rivas. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rivas throwing shots but missing, from side control. Rivas wants to stand but Anadrade has his arm trapped.
And that's the end of the fight! Oscar Rivas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Rivas has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pekerti closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hassan circles away. Hassan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mohamed Hassan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hassan throws a sloppy head kick and Pekerti moves out of range easily. Pekerti closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hassan circles away. Pekerti is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hassan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Mohamed Hassan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Budi Pekerti. Pekerti manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hassan wants to stand but Pekerti is controlling the position. Pekerti scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Not yet Hassan, not yet. Pekerti connects with a couple of short punches. Pekerti postures up in Hassan's guard and throws a big left but Hassan blocks it. Hassan wants to sweep but no luck. Pekerti working some strikes from top position. Pekerti with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Pekerti lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pekerti's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Pekerti postures up and lands a big shot to Hassan's brow. Pekerti is working Hassan over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Pekerti postures up in Hassan's guard and throws a big left but Hassan blocks it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pekerti stands up over Hassan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pekerti throws a big elbow that misses. Pekerti content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Hassan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Pekerti chips away with some ground and pound. Hassan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pekerti! Hassan is breathing heavily. Hassan is landing with some decent strikes but Pekerti is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Hassan pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pekerti tries to reverse the position but Hassan maintains control. Pekerti in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Budi Pekerti will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Budi Pekerti's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Hassan leaves Pekerti with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Hassan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pekerti as he avoids it easily. Hassan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Pekerti changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hassan tries to avoid it but Pekerti manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hassan to the ground. Hassan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hassan lands a nice leg kick that just misses Pekerti's sensitive parts. Hassan fails with a takedown attempt. Hassan shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mohamed Hassan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hassan tries to clinch but Pekerti moves out of range.

Hassan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hassan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Pekerti is looking to reverse the position. Pekerti keeping his opponent close. Hassan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pekerti keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hassan is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Pekerti gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Hassan trying to mount his opponent but Pekerti defends it. Hassan wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Pekerti uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pekerti keeping moving, preventing Hassan from controlling successfully. Pekerti has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Mohamed Hassan just wasn't active enough. Pekerti closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hassan quickly recovers to half guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Pekerti working his ground and pound in the gym. Hassan keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Hassan is looking for a sweep. Pekerti is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hassan avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pekerti. Hassan on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Hassan on his back here. Horrible takedown by Paul or perhaps it was just good defense by Beauchemin which made him look bad. Paul lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Paul closes the distance and clinches. Paul is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Beauchemin can't fight it off and eventually Paul manages to take the fight to the floor. Beauchemin looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Beauchemin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

He's trying to wriggle out but Paul has cracked it and Beauchemin is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Paul!
