The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pchelenko looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Carneiro drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Carneiro jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Carneiro wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pchelenko, who protects the arm well.

Carneiro is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pchelenko is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Carneiro goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pchelenko has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Carneiro but great work by Pchelenko.
Carneiro manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Carneiro looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Amarce drops his hands momentarily and Whitman needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Amarce just on the top of the head. Amarce drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Amarce - he's done!
