16 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Stephan Walter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony Jaa! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jaa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Walter pinned against the cage. Walter gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jaa shoots in looking for a takedown. Walter tries to sprawl out of it but Jaa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Walter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Walter leaves Jaa with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Stephan Walter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Jaa. Walter goes for a double leg but Jaa avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jaa continues to drive forward. Jaa tries to score a body lock takedown but Walter shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Walter turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Walter is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Jaa is trying to escape and Walter transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Jaa is forced to tap! Nice work there by Walter! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Stephan Walter! Stephan Walter really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Milwaukee's Best Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cain takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Cain takes a shot right to the bread basket. Capriotti tries to clinch there but Cain circles away.
Cain changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Capriotti looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Capriotti defending against the ground and pound. Capriotti prevents Cain from improving position. Cain trying to control the action but Capriotti is working from the bottom. Capriotti stops Cain from passing to mount. Capriotti is trying to improve his position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Capriotti defending against the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cain goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Capriotti rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Cain's guard! Nice work there by Capriotti! Capriotti scoring with punches to the head and body. Capriotti drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cain manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Capriotti has Cain in his guard. Capriotti throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Cain trying to control but Capriotti is working from the bottom. Cain must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cain cracks Capriotti with a solid left hand. Cain drops back, looking for a kneebar! Capriotti looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Capriotti looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Capriotti! Cain has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Capriotti is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cain has escaped the position, nice work there. Capriotti wants to stand but Cain has his arm trapped. Capriotti thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Capriotti tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Capriotti has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! We've been hearing that Capriotti has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cain tries to bench press Capriotti off him but Capriotti keeps the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Capriotti goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Cain has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Capriotti but great work by Cain. Cain working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Cain looking to control but instead Capriotti has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Cain is looking to take a break and control but Capriotti is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cain misses with a head shot. Capriotti uses the momentum to regain guard. Cain trying to control but Capriotti is working from the bottom. Capriotti throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Capriotti is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cain defends well. Cain wants to control from the top but Capriotti keeps moving. Capriotti is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cain is aware though and is defending well. This has been an exciting period of action! Cain advances to half guard. Cain works his way into full mount! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Capriotti really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That was a close round but I would say that Nikolay Capriotti will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Cain misses with a hook
and Capriotti counters by moving into the clinch. Still in the clinch, Capriotti scores with a nice short uppercut. Capriotti works on Cain's body with a couple of short punches. Cain has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A shot in the inside from Capriotti. Capriotti gets underhooks to prevent Cain's takedown attempt.
Capriotti scores with an uppercut up the middle. Capriotti pushes Cain back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Cain's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Capriotti lands with a short head shot on the inside. Capriotti lands on the inside with an uppercut. Capriotti tries to work over Cain's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Capriotti scores with a hook to the body. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Capriotti misses with a hook to the ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Capriotti scores with a hook to the body. Cain tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Capriotti smiles and moves away.
Cain gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Capriotti to score an easy takedown into full guard. Capriotti works over Cain with some ground and pound from guard. Capriotti keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cain's head. Cain not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Capriotti drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Cain dives on top into guard. Capriotti throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Capriotti is looking for a triangle but Cain pushes his legs off easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cain postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cain has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Capriotti to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Cain is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Capriotti pulls down on the head and he's put Cain to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Haverford throws a lazy right hand but Belt sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Haverford connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Nice shot lands for Haverford . Haverford connects with a crisp jab. Belt shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Haverford sprawls well. Haverford wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Belt gets slowly back to his feet. Haverford throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Haverford throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Belt fails to land with a series of punches.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Haverford tries to clinch there but Belt circles away.
Haverford connects with a body shot. Haverford looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Haverford avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Belt fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Belt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Haverford 's waist but Haverford gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Belt off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Black Belt. That's going to take a lot out of him. A looping hook to the body misses from Belt. Haverford does a little dance to reset his feet. Haverford closes the distance and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haverford is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Belt is defending well for now. Haverford breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Belt trying to keep a closed guard but Haverford is proving a slippery customer.

Belt trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Belt is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at SWF GYM - JUDO 'n' MMA that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Belt trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Haverford manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Haverford drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Belt manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Haverford has Belt in his guard.

Haverford is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Haverford keeping moving, preventing Belt from controlling successfully. Belt content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Belt with a flurry of punches that miss. Haverford wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Haverford seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Haverford working a defensive guard here.

Belt is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Haverford trying to control but Belt is working from the bottom. Black Belt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Haverford is looking to stand up but Belt won't let him. Belt looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Belt manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Belt loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Belt won't allow Haverford to sweep him here. Belt tries to free his leg and advance position but Haverford is retaining full guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Belt lands a couple of decent looking shots.

It looks like John Barnes has been cut. Silva shoots in looking for a takedown but Barnes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Silva's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Barnes stuffs the takedown attempt from Silva. Silva gets slowly back to his feet. Junior Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hagen moves out of range of the body kick. Kaminski misses with a two punch combination.
Kaminski rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hagen moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hagen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kaminski sprawls well. Kaminski wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hagen gets slowly back to his feet. We've been told by Hagen's head coaches at Evade MMA-LOD that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Kaminski uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hagen has time to react. Kaminski lands with an overhand left. No luck for Hagen with that takedown attempt. Kaminski is looking to clinch but Hagen is avoiding it.

Lee thumps Bateman with a low kick. Bateman throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Bateman scores with a decent looking hook.

Qing Nan Lee's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Bateman is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bateman lands an overhand right. Lee takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

It looks like Llewelyn Carter has been cut. Cartman tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Carter avoids it. A short right from Carter on the inside. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Carter. Carter is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Cartman is keeping busy. Cartman lands a shoulder strike. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Cartman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cartman tries to clinch up. Cartman tries to clinch but fails miserably and Carter counters by clinching up. Carter feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Cartmans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Carter tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cartman swats him away and circles back towards the center. Cartman takes a shot right to the bread basket. Cartman clinches up against the cage. Cartman turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Cartman creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Carter sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Carter parries the strikes from Cartman easily there. Cartman is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Carter to escape.
Carter defending against the ground and pound. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cartman looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Carter is avoiding damage well.
