The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alpha cracks McConnel with a good jab. A jab from McConnel misses. A big left from McConnel misses. McConnel misses with a looping left. Alpha lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. McConnel throws a big shot that misses. A telegraphed right hand from Alpha misses the target. Alpha misses with a double jab
letting McConnel counter with a right hand. McConnel has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. McConnel jabbing away but nothing is landing. Alpha lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Alpha misses with a body shot
and McConnel cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. McConnel throws a hook but Alpha blocks it. McConnel comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Alpha uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before McConnel has time to react. McConnel slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Alpha gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

McQueen on the wrong end of a nice jab. McQueen lands a head shot. Wyll lands a lovely overhand right. Wyll throws a right and a left that both miss. We've been informed that McQueen has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. A punch combination from McQueen misses. McQueen scores with a decent looking hook. McQueen scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Wyll is rocked! McQueen ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Wyll's jaw. Wyll's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! McQueen does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

A very excited looking Dutch McQueen made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. Coleman moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Coleman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Coleman lands a nice hook to Slade's body. Slade takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Coleman scores with a sloppy right hand. Slade should have avoided that one. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Coleman, right into the meat.

Slade is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Slade tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Coleman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Slade obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Slade throws a leg kick and Coleman counters with a leg kick. Coleman throws a hook but Slade avoids it easily. Slade with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Coleman to score with a decent uppercut.
