Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Teppo Mansikka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris Yurinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mansikka comes to the cage accompanied by Sattuu. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris Yurinov! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Dean Styles and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yurinov pushes Mansikka away with a front kick. Mansikka closes this distance looking for a takedown but Yurinov circles away. Mansikka misses with a takedown attempt - Yurinov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Mansikka wants to clinch. Yurinov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mansikka moves away. Mansikka shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mansikka was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Yurinov can't do much from the bottom here.

Yurinov is staying active underneath Mansikka, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Yurinov tries to roll over but Mansikka keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mansikka is trying to work for a kimura but Yurinov is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Yurinov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Yurinov has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Mansikka is landing a low percentage of strikes. Yurinov looks to land a right hand but Mansikka moved out of range. A slow jab from Yurinov misses its intended target. Mansikka tries to score a power double leg takedown but Yurinov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mansikka somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Teppo Mansikka. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mansikka misses with a lunging right hand
and Mansikka takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Mansikka is breathing heavily. Yurinov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Yurinov won't allow Mansikka to sweep him here. Yurinov working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Mansikka seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Yurinov wants to control from the top but Mansikka keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Yurinov wants to pass the guard but Mansikka is keeping the position. Mansikka wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Boris Yurinov dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Mansikka is rocked! Yurinov thows a left - swing and a miss! Oh Mansikka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Yurinov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Teppo Mansikka is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mansikka blocks a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Yurinov throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Mansikka is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

Nevsky throws a series of punches but Kruger avoids them all with ease. Vinicius Kruger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kruger throws a lazy uppercut
and Nevsky counters with a nice uppercut. Kruger thows a left - swing and a miss! Horrible takedown by Nevsky or perhaps it was just good defense by Kruger which made him look bad. Kruger has a takedown stuffed. Kruger scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kruger wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Kruger scores with a shot to the body.
Nevsky blocks a jab. Nevsky gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kruger cracks Nevsky on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Nevsky falls backwards against the cage. Kruger follows up with more strikes that drop Nevsky to his knees. Kruger keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Nevsky! This one is all over!

Our winner, Vinicius Kruger, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans. Alexander Nevsky was interviewed post fight and said 'Well ... what can I say ... my opponent was better than me tonight and congratulations for him! But I will come back strong and better prepared next time and put on a show for you guys !!!!'.
