We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Moreira has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trudeau wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Hatred misses with a looping right. Hatred fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Trudeau manages to avoid it. Hatred throws a wild body kick that Trudeau sees coming a mile off. Hatred with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Trudeau to score with a decent uppercut. Hatred avoids the body shot from Trudeau.

Hatred tries to land a front kick but Trudeau steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Hatred has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Hunter's hideout in the buildup to the fight. Uusisto comes into the arena with System Of A Down - B.Y.O.B. blaring out of the sound system. Rutger comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uusisto shoots in for a takedown but Rutger shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Rutger throws a quick inside leg kick. Nice cross by Rutger.
It looks like Jurmas Uusisto has been cut. Rutger lands a big head kick that sends Uusisto tumbling to the mat! Rutger takes a step backwards and waves Uusisto back to his feet - he wants the finish! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rutger comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Uusisto misses with an uppercut. Rutger saw that one coming. Rutger thuds a left hand into Uusisto's body. Rutger pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Uusisto back to the cage. Rutger follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
