The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mayfield drives through and clinches with Urajoke against the cage.
Mayfield softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. A nice right hand lands inside from Mayfield. Mayfield lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Mayfield scores with an uppercut up the middle. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Mayfield. Urajoke jumps guard but Mayfield stands there with Urajoke around his waist. Urajoke gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Urajoke gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. We've been told by Urajoke's head coaches at Franklin D. Bluth Memorial Supergym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Haha Urajoke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Mayfield - that will leave a mark!
Mayfield wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Urajoke fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mayfield manages to avoid it. A slapping body kick lands there for Mayfield. Mayfield jabs Urajoke right on the nose. Urajoke blinks but takes it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mayfield lets loose with a powerful body kick. Urajoke will feel that in the morning. Urajoke throws a combination that misses and Mayfield counters with an inside leg kick. Urajoke is breathing heavily. Urajoke looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Mayfield throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Mayfield cracks Urajoke with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Urajoke looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Mayfield finish him?
Urajoke is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Urajoke steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Mayfield. That one must have hurt. Oh Urajoke is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mayfield feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Urajoke's calf. Urajoke seems to have got his legs back now. Mayfield is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Mayfield works Urajoke's body with a nice hook. Nice jab there from Mayfield.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mayfield lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Mayfield throws a front kick that sends Urajoke stumbling back into the cage. Mayfield looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Mayfield lands a big right hand that sends Urajoke crashing to the mat! Mayfield stays standing though and waves Urajoke back to his feet! Urajoke throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Mayfield scores with a hook to the body. Urajoke takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Urajoke has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Mayfield. Mayfield lands with a nice body kick. A solid leg kick lands there for Mayfield.
Urajoke will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Mayfield scores with a jab to the body. Mayfield connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Urajoke! He's out on his feet! Mayfield rushes in and drops Urajoke with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Curtis Mayfield! A relieved looking Curtis Mayfield thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

and Fantana counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Fantana takes a swing at Garcia's ribcage but misses. Garcia throws a head kick that misses. Garcia throws a leg kick but Fantana checks it. Fantana misses with an uppercut. Garcia throws a sloppy head kick and Fantana moves out of range easily. Garcia misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Garcia looks to land a combination but Fantana avoids it well. Fantana connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Fantana thows a body shot but no joy. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Machida misses its intended target. We've been hearing reports that Badass has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Badass shoots for a double leg takedown but Machida sprawls well. He's pushed Badass's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Machida's corner calls for a 1-2. Machida obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Machida swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Badass.

Chinzo Machida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Badass scoring well with a low kick there.

Badass goes for a double leg but Machida avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Machida continues to drive forward. Machida tries to break free but Badass pushes him back against the cage. Badass lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Badass lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Nice body punch from Badass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Machida is looking to break free of the clinch but Badass has double underhooks. Badass keeps control of Machida as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Badass lands with a left to the head. Machida wants to break the clinch but can't.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Machida is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Badass has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Machida is looking to defend but Badass has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Machida! Badass pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Machida taps out and this one is all over!
