The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hui takes one on the button.

It looks like Sun Hui has been cut.
Hui chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Maia can pounce on him.
Maia lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Maia misses with a low kick as Hui jumps back.
Hui fails to land with a series of punches.
Maia has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Araba Fenice in the buildup to the fight.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hui crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Maia - the referee stops the clock and Hui gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Maia. Hui manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Hui sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Jack Towns had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight.
